Fords Plumbing and Heating

I called Fords to fix a leaking shower head. I suspected it to be an old shower cartridge filter, but could not open it far enough to see the part number (see photo).They sent out a plumber who quoted me the cost to inspect and order a new part + installation fee. He advised me that I could replace myself, and explained which tools to use to open and remove the old cartridge.I really appreciate the professionalism and full explanation of the work needed, also providing options to do myself vs their service and the price difference.

BEWARE: They will rip your elderly family off!!!!My mom called Fords Plumbing and Heating to check out an old manifold heating system. Long story short, the techs who showed up said that they dont work on manifold heating systems and charged a $99 service call fee for coming out.To make matters worse, my mom asked them for a quote on a toilet install while they were out there. They must have been licking their chops when they quoted $1660 for a 1-piece toilet and install. Unbelievable! My mom unfortunately paid the $99 service call fee, and I installed the toilet myself for $425 in about 30 minutes.
