Advantage Plumbing & Rooter

I had a very positive experience with Advantage Plumbing and Rooting. My kitchen and washer drain lines were both obstructed. I called in the morning and Steve, the owner, was able to get a plumber out in a few hours to fix the issue. The price I was quoted was the price I paid. I did call several local plumbers and Advanced Plumbing and Rooting were very competitive pricing. Mauricio, the plumber who did the work was polite, professional and experienced. He cleared both drain lines quickly, tested the water flow, cleaned up and was on his way. I was very impressed with Mauricio’s high-level of service and felt confident that he was working in my best interests. He asked questions to understand the problem and explained how he was going to resolve it. As a side note, this was my first time using this business. From my experience, I would feel confident using Advantage Plumbing and Rooting again and also recommend them to family and friends.

As a property manager I have to say that Advantage Plumbing is the BEST company out there to service my properties. They are extremely professional and they show up on time. The pricing for service matches the quality of service they provide. I recommend them from drain clearing to a re-pipe, these are the guys you want to hire!!

Steve and his crew were great all around. They set up plumbing in our basement so we could move washing machine and dryer down there. Very clean and neat setup in a challenging space where the old configuration was a bit of a mess. We got higher bids for this job, but I cant see how anyone else would have done anything better. It has been quite a while since they did this, and Im happy to report that everything is holding up well. Thanks again!New service call, new review: Just needed to sing Steves praises again. He recently came by after a toilet spontaneously erupted -- just shot water up from the bowl like a little geyser. He could have said anything to make a quick buck -- you need a new toilet, need to install some kind of valve, have sewer line cleaned, etc. -- but he was honest and determined it was the city hydro-jetting their lines. Nothing for us to fix or pay for. When theres work to be done, he does it masterfully. But you gotta love it when honesty/integrity is a plumbers first priority. Wish I could add another star to the five I already gave.

Ive worked with Steve and his team for the last few years and my overall experience has been nothing short of excellent. For my last repair, Kyle and Albert came out to address a major block in my kitchen drain line. The severity of the block was such that they had to make a couple of visits in order to fully clear the line. Both plumbers were courteous, professional, hard working and explained things in a very clear manner so I fully understood the situation. They also brought drop cloths and rags to protect the kitchen area and cleaned up all areas at the completion of the job. I can’t possibly put into words how grateful I am to this company. I called late on a Friday because we had a dire plumbing issue that needed immediate repair. Steve and Kyle came out at 6 am the next morning and did their best to remedy the issue. Unfortunately it was a bigger issue than anticipated but we came up with a game plan that day met with the inspectors and had everything in motion immediately. Over the following week Kyle over saw the project and made the process as easy and painless as humanly possible. Kyle constantly stayed in communication with me giving me updates with videos and photos basically walking me through step by step. All I can say is Kyle and steve and genuinely good people who can be trusted for any plumbing issue big or small I can’t thank them enough!

Very disappointing. I did my whole house repiping for water and drain pipes, also had my water heater tank changed when it broke down a week later. Both jobs cost me $14,000 and $2,200 respectively.Additionally, we agreed on fixing my bathroom bidet as well. Unfortunately, they were not able to do it but still charged me $250 fee after having spent a substantial amount with them, and on top of it, they were unable to fix the problem.The most disappointing of all is that I discovered they missed replacing some drain pipes as should have all been done. But they did return and corrected their mistake.This is an overall unsatisfactory experience for me.

They complete jobs when they say they will so they are reliable and they also come out with your emergency plumbing needs. Advanatage Plumbing also helped me with my shower copper repipe and I noticed a major improvement in the water flow.They quickly got the job done.

Our experiences with Advantage Plumbing and Rooter were excellent ones. Their work was reasonably priced, and they always arrived early and promptly took care of the problem. One day there were 9 workers working! Along with changing out the pipes, they installed 4 valves so if there are any future problems, only the section with the problem needs to have the water turned off.Steve, the owner, and Victor, the project manager, were always pleasant, nice, and accommodating. Through no fault of their own, one of the parts of the filtration system filtration system was leaking, and they came out immediately and replaced it wi an upgraded one!I recommend them highly!!!!!!

I had the pleasure of meeting Steve and his team a few weeks back when we had a major sewer issue. Steve and his team came out and diagnosed and solved our sewer problem in 1 day. They were able to identify the problem and suggest the solution immediately. That same day we fixed nearly 60 feet of our sewer line and were flowing smoothly. There are simply not enough complements I can give this team.I had a water dripping on the street issue that ai could not figure out . When soap bubbles appeared, we realize the problem was the sewer . Steve rearranged his team schedule to get the problem fixed and fast.The pipe, on a hillside was scoped with a camera revealing the severity of the 90 year old cast iron pipes. A replacement was needed. One can only shudder to think the cost of that.Using new technology called pipe lining, not only was the pipe repaired from the inside out , they even managed to clean the pipe below the street, saving us thousands of dollars!! . They even found a fresh water leak and were able to repair it while the pipe was exposed. The entire job was done in a day.I simply cannot sing high enough praises for Steve and his team. Professional, caring, on time with a fanatic work ethic. Steve truly cares about people and not just money .Look no further when needing help with an unpleasant issue of plumbing.

Our tankless water heater started leaking at 2am on Sunday and Steve came that day to make sure we at least had access to cold water while he ordered a new unit to replace our damaged one. He called around to get our unit and even explored other options with us when we found out our unit was back ordered for 3 weeks. When the new one came in, he was able to install it quickly. He was easy to communicate and coordinate with. I would definitely hire him again!

Outstanding experience with Steve. He got a huge job done where we needed a 100 year old iron pipe replaced that went from the roof to the basement in under a few days. They arrived on time and finished in the timeframe promised.

Advantage Plumbing installed a complete sewer system for my nearly 100 yr old home. The plumbing technicians were on time each day and very careful in keeping everything clean, both inside the house as well as cleaning up under the crawl space.I would hire them again for any type of future plumbing need.

Steve and his crew at Advantage Plumbing are top notch. They helped me out with a gas plumbing project on my remodel and I was so happy with their work that I asked them to do the testing for my sanitary plumbing. The bad news was that the test revealed deteriorated Cast Iron pipes as a source of leaks. Steve did a camera inspection on the CI Pipes and proposed that he install fiberglass sleeves in the ancient waste lines to avoid digging everything up. This minimized the costs and 48 hours later, the problem was solved. I cant say enough good things about Steve and his team and give them my highest reccomendation.

I highly recommend their services. I had a gas leak in my courtyard and made the mistake of calling another plumbing company. When they came out, rather than trying to determine the location of the leak and repair it, they told me I needed to have new gas lines installed for $17,400!Luckily, a neighbor told me about Advantage Plumbing & Rooter. They came out in a timely fashion, were professional and took care of my gas leak. My bill was $175.00! We needed to replace our old galvanized and cast-iron drain lines for the bathrooms including toilets, bathtub, showers and sinks. The work was completed within one day, as well as drywall repair with a contractor recommended by Steve. We are very pleased with the results. Had a hot water heater die in a flood from the recent rain. Horrible situation that Steve and some of his guys solved by quickly and professionally replacing my basement heater. If you are in need of a plumber, I highly recommend Steve and his crew from Advantage Plumbing. He was recommended to me by another great plumber when I had a leak in the ceiling between the 1st and 2nd floor of my home. He explained the process of locating the leak and did so with minimal damage to the ceiling to locate the source of the leak. The leak was repaired quickly and he even recommended someone who could repair the ceiling. Steve was so concerned that I not be without water that he rearranged his schedule to come to my aid within a very short time after my initial call. Please dont hesitate to call Advantage Plumbing and Rooter for any plumping issue you have.

The water heater expansion tank started leaking at 9:30 PM, so I sent a service request e-mail and put a large bucket under the drip. Within 10 minutes Steve of Advantage replied and scheduled a repair for the next day. The crew arrived with the correct tank, replaced and showed me the construction defect in the old one, all within 20 minutes.

We are happy to have found Steve and his crew of Gustavo, Mauricio, et. al. While getting estimates for foundation bolting, the foundation people found a cracked sewer line. We asked the foundation folks for a good plumber (Steve) and also called our usual guys. Prices were similar to replace all the sewer pipes in the crawl space up to the floor level. (The house is 70 years old, and this is the first time we have had to do the sewer pipes…not bad for an old house).Steve’s guys were on time to the minute and kept us updated as the work progressed during the day, one of our hottest summer days, I should add. They also installed a clean out going to the main sewer. (No extra charge). They finished the job in about 7 hours.The only thing they didn’t do was to remove the old pipes from under the house. I emailed Steve and he arranged to have them come back and remove the pipes the following week. Gustavo and Mauricio appeared promptly at 8am and were finished by 9am.We recommend Steve and his crew if you need work done.

Had a sink drain clog up on me in the late evening, called Advantage the next morning around 8:30 AM and at 9:30 they were here, snaked the drain and were gone by 10 AM. Good honest and professional service. Thanks guys!

Steve and his team was very reliable and professional. I tried to unclog the sewer mainline by myself which ended up with snake stuck inside the piping. Advantage Plumbing took care of the incident and provided the thorough investigation with camera and checking under the crawl space. With his advice, I decided to ask Advantage Plumbing to do replace the entire old cast iron drain/sewer piping with ABS at the crawl space. I had the repair/unclog services several times with the other plumbing company before but, I was never advised with the fundamental issue and how to remedy. After the service from Advantage Plumbing, all issues with sewer which I struggled many years are resolved now and I am so pleased with their service.

I called Steve at Advantage Plumbing for the first time after seeing so many glowing reviews on Yelp and NextDoor and recommend him most highly with absolutely no reservation. My new natural gas grill had just been delivered and the connection to my old barbecue was completely frozen after 25+ years of service. Steve sent one of his technicians within a couple hours. Paco found a solution within minutes, replaced the connection, and tested it thoroughly. I knew I would definitely call Steve the next time I have any kind of plumbing issue and did yesterday when my water heater went out. Steve came within the hour and fixed the problem. I was grateful to have hot water again! I have recommended him to my friends and neighbors and look forward to working with him in the future.

If you only read one thing about this review, you should know that Steve follows up on calls/texts.Steve has always answered my calls (or texts), and arranged to provide service in a timely manner. This has not always been my experience with contractors.Steve stepped in when I had remedial foundation work going on at my house that required plumbing services.Previous home owners had made penny-wise and pound-foolish plumbing decisions that became apparent during the foundation rework. Steves approach of taking pictures (and showing me live video) and explaining the circumstances made my decisions about plumbing service a near no-brainer.I also liked his sensible approach regarding materials vs long-term hassle: Maintainability, longevity, material cost, availability, resilience, etc.Steve is my go-to plumber.

This is not about scheduled water heater replacement/installation, its about emergency water heater installation. We found ourselves in the predicament of not having hot water on a Sunday night! With the week ahead, and a large household, we dreaded the prospect of cold showers, especially during those cold, gloomy, rainy days wed been experiencing in Los Angeles! But, the best we could hope for was a plumber coming out on Tuesday to diagnose the problem. However, thanks to Steve, (who came highly recommended on Nextdoor) we did not have to be without hot water too long. He came within a few hours of me calling him on Monday morning, diagnosed the problem (water heater completely corroded, leaking, hissing, etc. etc -- in a word, done) contacted his suppliers, found a new water heater, had it delivered, took away the old clunker, and installed the new one -- all within a span of a little under 2 hours. Talk about a miracle. By the time the kids came home from school, we had hot water! Talk about a miracle. It was a true pleasure dealing with Steve.

Steve and his crew are the best full service plumber I have ever used. He is absolutely the only person I will ever have touch my plumbing. He completely replaced our 80 year old sewer. Before that he repiped our house inside and out. Always came at the drop off a hat even in the middle of the night. HONESTLY the best price never any hidden charges. He know every aspect of plumbing from from residential to commercial no job to big or small. If you don’t hire this guy shame on you. 35 years experience. And HONEST. He told us our water pressure was to high in our house and installed pressure regulators never had to come back and redue any of his work. ALWAYS cleans up when he is done does very clean,neat work.
