*On December 21, 2023, there was big rainstorm in Santa Barbara. The entire side yard area, laundry room, and 1 downstairs apartment were flooded. Two adjacent downstairs apartments had flooding, too.*We called Foundation Technology, and the crew drove from Santa Clarita, arriving within 3 hours! They dug trenches in the side yard to divert the water to the front yard and out to the street.*A few weeks later, the guys came back and installed a new drainage system AND a sump pump.*This past week, we had a great deal of rain, and the system worked GREAT.*Yesterday, February 4, 2024, the major storm hit Santa Barbara with tremendous force.*The street in front of my apartment was flooded from sidewalk to sidewalk. The adjoining creek rose to a level I had never seen before.*BUT, thanks to Foundation Technologys fantastic new drainage system, we had no problems. Everything worked beautifully!*I HIGHLY, 100% recommend Foundation Technology to anyone and everyone who has drainage/flooding issues around their home, apartment building, business.

It was a major project to our home. We have never experienced a project of this magnitude. Foundation Technology gave us a fair price and was there with us every step of the way. They were always just a phone call away and always answered our questions. Top Notch!

I had an appointment set and he never showed, so I called and the secretary said, sorry but it was not put on his calendar. Let me call the estimator to re-schedule for you. I will call you back in few minutes. She never called. So I called her back, she said, he cant come until next week. So I gave her a date and time. She said, let me call him to see. She never called back. I dont know the quality of their work but if it is the same as their unprofessional way of handling customers, watch out!

Foundation Technology did a retaining wall for us. They worked diligently and cleaned up after themselves. I have received many compliments on their work and would definitely recommend them. You pay for what you get. Thank you.

The concrete of our foundation wall had fractured due to the water leak. I had several email correspondences with Jerry, and he patiently responded to all my questions until I was satisfied before we hired Foundation Technology. The company strengthened the foundation wall and removed the molds in our basement crawlspace which I understood was formerly Jerry’s business. It saved us money in hiring another company to mitigate the molds. Foundation Technology also did a basic seismic retrofit. The workers and the supervisor on site were courteous.I would recommend Foundation Technology and will use their service again.

The office employees and the workers on site conduct themselves in a professional manner. I would highly recommend Foundation Technology and will definitely use their services again.

Foundation Tech redid the foundation in an add-on room in my house plus retrofitted the rest of the house. It turned out to be a nightmare situation where the original foundation for the add-on was completely unsalvageable and the company had to re-work its plans, tear out the old foundation completely and then redo it properly. They did a great job, especially considering that they had already accumulated the materials needed for the original plan, some of which they couldnt use once things changed. They were very communicative throughout the whole process too.

Foundation Technology, helmed by Jerry, is an honest broker of foundation problems. Their technology is probably the most cost-effective way of preventing and correcting foundation settlement problems. I vetted his technology thru my brother, a retired design/build architect. He also offered me valuable advice on how I could mitigate damage to my foundation stabilization problems moving forward that didnt use his companys services, free of charge.

They missed a major problem which another contractor found and repaired. They are nice but I had a nagging feeling something was missed because they never went under my house. I asked for them to do so twice and was told it wasnt necessary even to run a camera around the foundation.

I hired Foundation Technology as part of the California Earthquake Brace and Bolt (EBB) program that helps homeowners get earthquake retrofits added to their home.Unfortunately, I experienced a multitude of problems with this contractor, who tried to avoid EBB requirements for scheduling, financial disclosures and uploading documents, made errors in those documents once they were uploaded, causing them to be rejected by EBB, and then billed me for undisclosed service fees that were not specified in the contract. It seemed like once Foundation Tech got their money (including the undisclosed $200 service fee), they just did not care about completing the inspection and paperwork that a homeowner needs in order to get EBB reimbursement, and tried to skirt many EBB program requirements. For example, EBB very clearly requires that homeowners NOT begin work before approvals are in place. But Foundation Tech contacted me not one but two times, trying to get me to start the work before EBB approval. That should have been a red flag.Work was completed in early September, and despite their assurance they would take care of all EBB paperwork, it was not until after multiple calls, emails, and finally a call from EBBs representatives to the contractor telling them they had to comply, did Foundation Tech provide me, in late October, with the required invoice to submit. But it was not until November, after more daily emails, that they finally uploaded all necessary docs to the EBB site. Then EBB rejected the first invoice submitted because it was riddled with arithmetic errors.More problems:- Failed to schedule a final inspection without multiple reminders. After several reminder emails, office manager said oops, it slipped through the cracks.- Once the inspection date finally came, the city inspector said because Foundation Tech failed to send their representative to meet him, it would need to be rescheduled. When notified of this, Foundation Tech sent an email trying to blame the city inspector, saying, Usually for the final he just peaks (sic) or crawl inside but he probably didnt want to do it.- When I asked for the invoice to submit to EBB, Foundation Tech complained they never required that before. In fact, this is clearly on the EBB website.- When paperwork still wasnt uploaded by October, they complained in an email that EBB was forcing us to disclose our finances, which have never been part of the process and they were trying to obtain a waiver to exempt them from doing so. But when I phoned EBB, reps confirmed that this was actually a very fundamental part of program requirements for contractors. EBBs phone rep seemed incensed to learn about Foundation Techs behavior, and immediately put me on hold and initiated a conference call with the company, telling them they HAD to provide me with an invoice. Only after this happened did they do so.- Once Foundation Tech FINALLY submitted the invoice, EBB rejected it, because the invoice contained multiple math errors.- The exact same thing happened a second time with their second, corrected invoice -- still contained errors. If you are depending on a speedy reimbursement on an EBB grant, do not go with this contractor.Im giving them one star because the workers who actually performed the job were courteous and professional. The nightmare was all because of of the owners and office staff, who created problems, roadblocks, and essentially spent months resisting the terms of a state program they had willingly agreed to be part of.

Had the pleasure of having the team at Foundation Technology take care of our failing foundation that had been plaguing our house for the past 2 years. To be completely honest, out of the 3 estimates that we received from various foundation specialists, Foundation Technologys quote was the highest and only bid that recommended Helical Piers. Upon doing a little research, I realized that the other 2 companies did not have the license that certified them to install Helical Piers, so instead they prescribed a sub-par scope of work that was not adequate to stabilize our home. We were confident that Foundation Technology really knew what theyre doing considering that they not only work on residential homes, but also are contracted to work on large scale industrial projects such as repairing runways at the Beijing International Airport in China. If youre looking for the cheapest quote and are willing to cut corners to save a couple dollars, this is not the company for you. But If you want to fix your foundation once, and never have to worry about it again, then definitely get in contact with Foundation Technology
