Joe Castro was excellent! Was promptly on time… did a thorough inspection of my plumbing before starting any work… I had a clogged drain in the kitchen and the bathroom next door. Joe provided me with 3 options to help with the plumbing problem… pricing was straight forward and no pressure to perform the most expensive. Work was complete in less than 2 hours, did not leave a mess and my issue was resolved. Joe was courteous and friendly. Will definitely call Drain Doctor for any future plumbing problems.

I have been skepticle of plumbers or service companies in the past with reason, so when my 80 year old grandmother called me and told me she called out a plumber for a toilet back up I had my reservations. Joe came on time and did more than what I thought he would do. I appreciate the extra checks of water pressure and chlorine content. It felt like he was doing a thorough assessment of our plumbing situation. I called Drain Doctor to fix a dripping leak in our shower. It was a nice surprise to see that Joe also fixed the hot/cold handle. It used to be the opposite. Overall Joe was great but the price point is steep. Really steep. It was more expensive than when I had to have a burst pipe leak with water flowing everywhere be fixed. Even the quote for the filtration system the company recommends seems off the chart expensive. We dont even have a huge house to begin with and its 3x the national average. Customer service is great though. So thats nice.Edit:So we ended up optimg for the Halo water system. Joe helped us get great discounts. It was nice because it felt like he actually wanted to help us get better water for the house. He came back and offered us financing which worked well with our budget. The installation was shorter than I expected and so far were enjoying the best water weve had for years. Joe also left us with a water test kit as well as an enzyme to dissolve build up in our pipes. Overall it was a pleasant experience and I feel that weve found our go-to plumbing home. Thank you Joe! This was the second time that I called them. The first time was to replace our water heater more recently We were hearing a knocking noise coming from the water heater. I gave them a call about 8:30-9AM and someone was to my residence by 11 the issue was resolved within an hour. It was covered under warranty. I appreciate the quick response. I also like how they don’t try to sell you on anything they just recommend what they think would work for you give you your options, unlike other companies, they make it seem like the product isn’t gonna last unless you have all the extra equipment. Will definitely recommend to anyone who ask.

From the professionalism and timeliness of those who answer the phone, to Joseph and Jesus who responded and were thorough in their inspection of each of my issues, it was a positive and quality experience. I didn’t end up booking them for the actual repairs based on the pricing, and the reason why I took a star off is that when you don’t provide an exact cost breakdown between parts and labor, it makes someone like me wary.Having worked as a service provider and in both wholesale AND retail, there’s no reason why pricing couldn’t be more transparent, particularly if the quoted prices ended up being quite a lot more than the others I called. Markups are expected, but in a saturated market that is plumbing, it does help for someone like me to make my decisions with more information than less.I paid $99 for the diagnostic of my leaking garbage disposal as well as kitchen faucet to determine whether my low water pressure was from my pipes or the faucet itself; they were kind enough to also help me remove a rusted over hose that was stuck on my patio faucet, and Joseph also performed a thorough review of each of my bathrooms and water heater to determine whether they were up to code.

On Monday, July 14 I called the company and they sent out Joseph Castro before entering the home he covered his shoes. He came in and examined the water damage and stated that he could come back on Tuesday to fix it at 9 o’clock. He came back with his partner by the name of Jose. They both was very professional. They explain everything to my husband on what they were going to do, they fix the pipes . After fixing the leaking pipes , they cleaned up very well . I give them both a rating five and the company should be very proud of having two young professional men’s working for the company. I will recommend the company.

Another great experience with Joe Castro! We left a message Friday night & he came Saturday morning about 10:00 am. He took a few minutes to access the reason why the sewer branch pipe was backing up and continued to do a Hydro Jet cleaning which cleared it up. To find the root of the problem, he used a camera and saw a shifted pipe section that created a lip that the debris clogged on. He recommended to fix that so it wont happen again. We scheduled it to have it done in the next 2 weeks with his office assistant 2 days later. He is cordial, respectful and provides enough technical information to understand the situation & the process to fix it in understandable terms.I highly recommend Drain Doctor and Joe Castro.Thank you!!As a follow up to the previous service, Joe & his 4 assistants came back 2 weeks after the 1st fix. They prepared the front yard area with tarp on the grass so the dirt did not get on the grass. They dug 3-5 feet down in no time and took out clay pipes & replaced it with ABS black pipes. They ran a camera towards the house and saw roots so they cleaned out those pipes too. They always do a thorough job!

Joe was great and we love a father & son team. We had a sewer backup and had a couple guys come out only to try and sell us on some ridiculous costing repairs without even really knowing what was going on, just pressuring us to say yes when I felt like they didn’t even know what the real problem was. Joe came out, Got our pipes cleared then showed us with a camera what our problem was, roots! He was able to take his high-tech equipment and completely remove everything in the line and showed us afterwards. He recommended using his zero dig pipe replacement system, so we would never have this problem again. After everything was all done we have no regrets hiring these guys, nobody wants to pay a plumber, but nobody wants their house flooded with sewage, if you have to call a plumber these guys are the ones to call. Honest , fair & never felt like we were being scammed. We called around and nobody gave us the time, care and education that the drain doctor did. Thanks again guys

I called Joe a day before I needed an urgent sewer line camera inspection and he was able to get me an appointment for the following day at the exact time I needed! His inspection was thorough, informative, and professional. Had an issue with my washing machine valves leaking and after calling around these were the only reliable techs to come through. Spoke with the boss Joe a few times about the situation and both he and his techs are very personable. It would’ve been nice to get a call when they were coming over, because they were an hour late, but I was glad to get this issue resolved same day. They also use booties over their work boots which is appreciated! I’ll definitely have them come back to fix my bathtub faucet after they quoted me for the work if I found the replacement faucet.

We have been having problems with our tankless water heater for the past few weeks. Water only stays hot for about 3 minutes and we have to shut off for 1 minute to get another 2 minutes of hot.I called and emailed multiple plumbing companies. After hearing a lot of companies not offering diagnostics or repairs on tankless systems, the one vendor I went with that did canceled on me in the last 30 minutes of their 3 hour service window.With my frustrations building, I went to my local city Facebook page to see what my neighbors recommended. I was referred to Joe at Drain Doctor and I was set up the next day for diagnosis.Joe is very professional and punctual. He also offers a lot of information. He informed me after initial inspection and performing a 1 hour descale, that most likely my water heater would need to be replaced. Although I was ready to just have him replace it, he was determined to continue diagnosing the system. He called the manufacturer field rep and went through all the diagnostic procedures and pulled some electrical components to verify functionality. He also removed parts of the interior components and cleaned them.Joe went out of his way to actually diagnose, pull and clean parts and this was after I already conceded to going with a new system. It was very easy to make the decision to have my system replaced by Joe. I am very happy so far with the service received.

Joseph was great, he worked through diagnosing the problem discussing each step along the way. He offered me options for clearing the clog on one side of my house and proceeded to get it done. He was clean, respectful and courteous. He explained what the problem likely is after clearing and running a camera down the pipes. He made recommendations without trying to upswell me. He answered all my questions and was on his way.

Joe was great! He was fast and on time. He came to inspect our sewer drain pipes at the front of the house, as the kitchen sink kept overflowing, but we have also had problems in the past with other drains over flowing. He was able to tell me exactly which way the pipes were running to the sewer and what kind of pipes. Since this is an older house, we had ABS, clay, and galvanized. He didnt find any problems with the clay and ABS sewer pipes, but the kitchen outflow pipe was full of years of grease and created three blocks past the clean out. Joe was able to snake through the clean out and push through all clogs until it was fully clear. We havent had any problems at all with our kitchen sink since 3 weeks ago.Joe also gave a clear plan on how he would coat our galvanized pipes so they will last for many more years without replacing. His costs were low compared to other plumbers, but he also gave a discount on the spot, so that was an unexpected surprise.
