ABT Plumbing & Rooter

My family owns several rental units and I was dealing directly with Robert at ABT Plumbing in Torrance for a few days. Out of the blue, Robert tells me that for NEW customers they will only accept cash payment of a non-refundable cash deposit of $500. I even asked Robert why he as punishing me to which he said that he wasnt punishing me. VERY STRANGE!3 days ago Robert said that the job should cost around $300 depending on what they may find is the fix. The problem with the plumbing is that (1) Kitchen Drain Line is stopped up before getting to the Main Line. This unit is within a smaller building of (6) total units and none of the other units plumbing is stopped and the other drain lines within the affected unit (Bathroom Toilet, Sink, Tub) are NOT stopped up.I offered to pay via Credit Card or even Zelle! (As most people know, Zelle is almost immediate and you cant even take the payment back once it is accepted by the other party.)I then called my Attorney to see if they can really do this and he stated the following- In California, a contractor can legally ask for a maximum upfront payment of $1,000 or 10% of the total project cost, whichever is less on home improvement contracts, as per state law restrictions set by the Contractors State License Board (CSLB).My Attorney then advised me to submit a complaint against this unscrupulous company, which I will do, since I am confident that this company will probably continue to do this to many others... It will be interesting to see how the Contractors Board reacts to this complaint... I will keep everyone posted.Thanks for reading this review.

To close the permits on our addition a gas valve needed to be installed and these guys were here in less than 15 minutes with permits and everything necessary to get it done. This service is unheard of and I’m thrilled!

For a 20- minute discussion, I set aside an hour to meet with with ABT. They didnt show up and said they would be 20-30 minutes late. After 30 more minutes, they said they wanted to reschedule because they would be about an hour late. These text exchanges show they didnt have any intention of keeping the appointment...so completely unreliable.

The company was recommended by my neighbor. The service person was prompt, courteous, and all-business. He quickly unclogged my shower drain and cleaned up after himself. The price was reasonable and I would surely recommend ABT Plumbing and Rooter.

Had an emergency service scheduled in the morning & ABT CANCELED!!“Robert Titus” aka..The Owner of ABT Plumbing prioritized ANOTHER CUSTOMER … I was not offered a later time to come FIX the EMERGENCY ISSUE.Not properly professional. They were able to come out within an hour, same day and fixed my clogged kitchen sink pipes and garbage disposal that was backing up quickly. He also fixed my leaky pipe fittings below the sink!! Professional quick and honestly I would have paid whatever they said just to get it fixed but I think the price was reasonable and the problem is completely fixed. He even cleaned up after himself! Very impressed dont hesitate to call these guys if you have a plumbing problem!! I should have called a few days ago and not tried to fix it myself!

Highly recommend ABT Plumbing & Rooter. I had the hole house backed up and they came out within the hour to take care of it. Very professional service, even gave me tips so it doesnt keep happening. Thank you Robert, your our new plumber from now on!

When I called ABT Plumbing & Rooter and described my emergency need to clear out backyard area drain piping clogged with roots, leaves, and other stuff, he assured me he could go it. Sure enough, within minutes Ray arrived and totally cleared it all out. Ray was friendly, efficient and thorough. I no longer have to worry about major patio flooding in heavy rains.

Man y’all need to check ya drivers dude just pulled into the weed shop driving like a maniac check ya drivers GPS tracker they over here buying weed on your company gas also pissing in public like this a public restroom

Had a slab leak, called and Robert came immediately, early in the morning, took care of everything! Great response! Have used ABT for commercial jobs also. Jobs are done right.

Prices are very reasonable. Work is quality. Rob was out to my house on the same day I called and had my clogged drain fixed in half an hour.

Had a late night emergency. I called several random emergency plumbing services & felt uneasy. But when I called ABT, I knew right away with Robert I was in good hands. He was able to show up immediately, he was pleasant right off the bat and did a super thorough job... even at late night. HIGHLY recommend.

The employees that work for ABT plumbing are the best plumbers Ive hired. They showed up on time, were professional and took all the COVID precautions. The faucet on my shower was broken and needed to be fixed and they were able to come replace and repair it in a timely manner. 5/5 would recommend!

I have been very pleased with ABT Plumbing and have used them the last four years. Robert is very responsive and the prices are reasonable. Anytime I have a plumbing issue I call and someone is usually at my house within an hour or two and the bill is usually less than I expect it to be.

I live in a condo in a bottom unit. The unit aboves drain pipe was broken and water was pouring into my unit heavily. Thank God I was there to put buckets out. I called my HOA only to get s recording saying its a holiday and only one on-call plumber could assist and could take all day. I called ABT Plumbing and they were able to make it over within ten minutes stop the leak and fix both units upstairs who had the common-wall issue which caused the leak. All three of our units were grateful for their help, and their prompt response saved thousands of dollars to stop water damage from Setting in if I had to wait all day for the other one. I highly recommend them for all plumbing needs.
