I called Stephens with an emergency on a cold day to fix our heater and he showed up with such a good attitude. He was knowledgeable and funny and most importantly, got the job done in record time. Thank you all for providing the round the clock service! Great team you have.

Im a cafe manager and I needed to find someone to setup for routine maintenance for my coffeebar. Doing a quick Google search I found Stephens Plumbing and decided to give them a try after reading they have been around for decades and reading their great reviews in Google. Setting up the first visit was quick and easy, Oscar came for the first visit and conducted a diagnosis to determine what exactly my AC units needed for service and provided a quote for the proposed service. The office called me back the same day to schedule service for the upcoming week, again quick and easy. Trevor and Jeff came in for the second visit and performed all needed service in a quick, clean, professional manner. They were friendly and pleasant to work with. I asked if we can set them up for routine maintenance since I was satisfied with their work and they said the office will be in touch with me to set that up. They showed me pictures of the work they did and let me know what they were going to do before getting started. They basically cleaned the coil of one unit, filters of both units, swapped out a filter of one unit, and instantly the AC started working better than before. Overall, I am happy with their work and professionalism. Definitely recommend and I look forward to setting them up for routine biannual maintenance. Poncho arrived right on time- he spent the time to diagnose the issue with the AC unit, and then went that extra step to ensure the entire unit was running efficiently. This was my second time using this companys services for help with my HVAC unit, and Ive been extremely satisfied with their work. Both times the technician Omar was able to quickly diagnose what the issue was, showed me pictures of the problem area, and then offered me different options to resolve the issue. So happy with the service! Freddy is an outstanding plumber! My mom had a plumbing emergency in her condo on a Saturday afternoon. We called Stephen’s and Freddy came out right away, even though he had a lot of calls to cover. He diagnosed the problem very quickly. It was amazing. He took care of the problem so that my mom and all the other residents wouldn’t be without water. Came back the following Monday with the parts he needed to repair everything. Excellent work ethic. Totally competent and reliable. His partner Michael was fantastic, too! Could’ve easily been a horrible experience, but Freddy and Stephen’s plumbing came through for my mom.

He was able to come to my home within 30 minutes. Unfortunately, he didnt have the part on truck to fix the problem. He did schedule for the next day and showed up when he said he would. It was fixed quickly and the price was average for this area. I was happy with the service.

I called Stephens plumbing and heating out to look at my furnace. They were here within an hour after calling. Checked out system and found what the problem was, and gave me recommendations. My heater stopped again due the part that was recommended to be replaced. Again they were out within the hour, and again recommended what should be done. Both technicians were nice and respectful, will definitely use them.in the future.

Omar was very nice. He explained that when we changed the filter the cover wasn’t closed completely. That’s why heater wasn’t working, he closed it. Heater was fine. We were charged $125 which I thought was a bit much for seniors on a fixed income. I’ll know the next time.

I am happy with my experience with Stephens! They were able to come out the day after I called to report issues with my AC. Poncho checked the air temperature and refrigerant level and diagnosed the issue quickly, gave me tips on vent shape and filter replacement, and topped off the unit. He was efficient in explaining a few routes to address the issue and the cost and time associated. So far so good, the unit is blowing cold air again!

They are amazing!!! I called on the Friday before NYE to make an appointment for a inspection and a possible cleaning of my system.I expecting not to get an appointmentfor at least a week. The amazing person on the phone said someone cpupld come out that today. They sent Oscar, who is great and extremely helpful. Oscar explained how our system worked and how to make work efficiently. Oscar also explained how to fix the issue the gas company had pointed out.We will be calling Stephens Plumbing, Heating, & Air Conditioning back.

Had a great experience with Stephens Plumbing. We had to replace our HVAC system and they were extremely helpful through the whole process. Rob was very patient with all my questions while he was quoting out the project and gave us a very competitive rate. Freddy and Alex were prompt on the day of installation and very mindful of our space while working. We have a 2 year old and I work from home so they had a lot to navigate. Have had the system for about a month now and everything is working great. 10 out of 10 would recommend and will use again should anything else come up.

Stephens came by to repair my ancient floor heater. Theyre the experts in older floor heaters. Omar found several things that hadnt been repaired properly by another company, and unfortunately my heater got red tagged, due to a large crack that cant be repaired. Despite the bad news Stephens was very helpful and professional amd saved me from CO poisoning or a possible explosion. Thank you!

Today Galan. and his assistant, Jesus, came to clear my two shower drains. They were exceptionally polite and knowledgeable. They cleared the drains and kept me informed as to what they were doing and cleaned up after completion. They were wonderful and I highly recommend this company!

My old furnace died, and a new furnace was needed. Stephens checked out what was needed, and the diagnostic fee was deducted from the price. The quote was fair, and actually a lot less than I thought it would be. Freddy and J.T. came at 9am and installed, inspected and made sure all was well in less than 6 hours. They left the house cleaner than when they arrived, explained everything, from maintenence to working the new thermostat. They even checked the duct work in the attic to ensure all was well. So happy with the courtesy, professionalism and great value. Also proud to support our local business!

Stay away ! Horrible service . Rip off !! Tech came out for a leaking toilet on a apartment building , opened up drywall on unit below and stated the drain needs to be replaced on a 3” pipe which is less than 1 foot in length, provided over $3,000 estimate for a small less than 1 foot pipe replacement and said will take very long to replace . Tech had no idea what he was doing . Pipe was not damaged or leaking. Trying to rip us off . I called another plumber, he came and went to the unit upstairs stated the wax ring was bad , and replaced it and that was it. Charged me $180 and fixed it 20 min .

They gave me an appointment with a time frame from 8-2pm to look at my AC and let me know that they’d call me 30 minutes prior. I stayed home all day waiting. At 12pm i called to check the status. They said the technician had an emergency. I wondered why they hadn’t called to notify me as a courtesy. At 2pm I called to see their ETA. hey said the technician was still on an emergency and would be by later. I ended up canceling and called another company. A call letting me know the status would’ve been nice so I wouldn’t be waiting in the heat for them. Seemed a little unprofessional

Was in need of a plumber to come out and look at my water heater and all other companies wanted an arm and a leg to come out the same day or day after. I called Stephens plumbing they came out same day checked my water heater and gave me options. Williams was just so professional and has very much attention to detail. Very clean work and explained in details what was going to be done. Definitely A+ service recommended 100% to everyone.

At first I called them for an emergency and Victor came out to unclog my drain right away. He completed the work quickly and professionally and I didn’t have to worry about anything! No mess, was respectful, and tested everything out afterwards. I decided to call Stephen’s plumbing out for a Second time since I had a good experience but it was to help install a safer and more practical fixture option in my bathroom. Victor came out again and recommended some great options that worked with my budget and completed the work in a very short amount of time. I’m thrilled with the result, and even though it was something I could have installed myself it wouldn’t have been done as nicely or as quickly so I was happy to spend the extra to get it done right. DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT call these jokers of you have a water heater go out. They come out at the end of they after knowing they need to replace a part. Just to say they will come back the next day. Came back the next day for 30 minutes and then left again to prob get the part again. Meanwhile Ive Been without hot water for 3 days and work in a field of having fiberglass particles on me and would like a effing hot.....hell Ill take a Luke warm, shower.

I called to review a bid to repair our air conditioner. When I asked questions about the cost and warranty the lady on the phone from this company was very condescending. When I questioned the cost of Freon she told me if I didn’t like it I could take my business elsewhere. I did take my business elsewhere! You lose lady! I will also tell all my friends and neighbors.

I’m always looking for great plumbers. Today, Sebastian and Andres came out in less than an hour. They figured out the issue, explained the problem, fixed it and cleaned up after themselves. No stress from scheduling to getting the issue resolved. Couldn’t ask for more.

The worker who came to my house was prompt, efficient, and thorough! He actually went on the roof to check the unit there as well, and brought down a couple of very dirty looking filters. He washed and dried the filters, then took them back onto the roof and put them into the unit there!

It was cold last weekend, and our home gas heater wasnt working. I found Stephens on Google and Yelp, so I and called them on Monday and got an appointment for Wednesday. I got a call the next day saying there was a tech in our area, and he could come now. The tech wore a mask and was very nice. He fixed our heater and got quoted for a very fair price. I will schedule another appointment with them to fix our issue with our bathroom sink. It was a job well done, and they won me for future services.

Jose and Arturo were the only ones who could find the very small gas leak, fix it, and work with the gas company (who was not helpful at all) to get the gas turned back on. They also provided preventative and reasonable solutions for us to implement in the future. They are TOP NOTCH. I am sold for life! I cant imagine a world without Jose and Arturo! They ROCK!!!

Last winter we called in because our heater was not working. We were quickly able to get a Stephens representative out to us. For whatever reason an otherwise professional plumbing company, Stephens Plumbing took a dump on me. Im still waiting for their call back that was actually promised, what, two weeks ago?There is a sewage stench emanating from my bathroom. Likely a break somewhere in the plumbing. Over two months ago (beginning October)I call Stephens. They send out Frankie who provides a free estimate: $400 to smoke test the four drains. I get my landlords authorization, give all contacts to landlord and vice versa give Stephens my landlords contacts, get all approval then nothing. So I call Stephens on October 31st. They tell me wait a week, Frankies out. No problem, next week they schedule to come over to perform smoke test and never showed up. So I patiently schedule for another visit. They send someone- not Frankie, the plumber I was told to wait for by them- another guy no problem butwho was only going to provide another free estimate.Meanwhile my house smells really bad every day.Upset I call to ask what te heck and they have no real answer other than they never received authorization from my landlord. I was then promised that they would follow up with landlord and call me back.So, for me, I give them a thumbs down for customer service and professionalsim.My response to your tepid reply Stephens:Calling you back would be like returning to a bad mechanic. Good riddance.

Our new HOA uses Stephens Plumbing. I called them and they came Monday 1/11/16. I had a leak under my sink and I had turned the shut off valve off. Plumber Salvador and his helper Mr. Luis show up on time exactly at 11:00 a.m. We spoke about the problem they got to work immediately Mr. Salvador asked Mr. Luis turned the shut off valve back on. it start to leak on the garbage disposal side. Mr. Salvador immediately said you need a new garbage disposal. I also told him about my cracked toilet. He went and bought a new garbage disposal and new toilet. They buy, replace both garbage and toilet in about 2 1/2 hours. My bill was so reasonable I was so in shock. My bill was cheaper than our old plumbers who charged me .$600 to put new faucets that I bought myself in my bathroom sink and shut off valves. When I had ask this company why so much they said the hot faucet is more expensive than the cold. They charge separate. I know that company ripped me off and I was traumatized by them. I had lost faith in ever calling a plumber. Stephens Plumbing is honest and reasonable. They are quick and professional. Thank you Stephens Plumbing. Casa Verde Estates.

Needed routine maintenance on mini-split system. Pancho, the service tech, arrived on time and cleaned the unit really well. He struggled with the particular inverter unit I have (Pioneer 30,000 btu single stage mini split) with disassembly, but he patiently worked through it and left my system running great. He was there well over an hour and charged me $175 for the service. Fair price for what was involved. Will use them again.

Had a leaky hot water pipe in the concrete slab and later to find out the water heater needed to be replaced too.Galan and his partner, Arturo i think his name was, were very good workers, they both took pride in their work & knowledgeable. They were tidy, cleaned up and went beyond, deffently were not slackers. i was amazed how hard Arturo worked, he was extra.Galan made sure I understood every finding and every procedure and even gave me tips on other things needed to be brought up to par. With all the explanation, I almost feel i could be a plummer now, he let me know that its PVC pipe not PCP.The reason for only 4 stars is because the cost floored me. I had no idea plumbing was so expensive, but im old school & to old to do it myself so it was worth it to leave it to the professionals.

Misleading in their prices and approach to customers. They didn’t take accountability and placed miscommunication on their customer, in my experience. Will not proceed forward with them for any future work, or any referrals. On the higher end of pricing based off services performed. Dissatisfied and disappointed with their management and customer service (Jeanette ).

We called Stephens to come look at a A/C problem. Had the problem diagnosed within 15-20 minutes. They pulled the motor out so they could find us a new one. Came back by 12:30 pm the next day and replaced it. They checked everything else and we had AC again by 1:30.Now, like mentioned before on another review we are a married couple(two woman) and had 2 other companys out to look at this problem before Stephens and the other two gave us estimates of $1500. and $1,900. dollars to fix. One of the companys is recommended on KFI AM radio.The techs from Stephens who came were knowledgeable and explained very simply what was wrong and how they fixed it.We also explained that we are on a fixed income and take care of my father who is 90 years old and they were very, very fair on pricing with us.I would HIGHLY Recommend Stephens Plumbing to Family and Neighbors and WILL.S & K Harris, San Pedro, CA

I had a AC fan capacitor replacement. From the booking an appointment to the actual technician coming in to replace the part, it was as smooth and professional as service can be! Pricing seems very reasonable and honest. The technician was in an out in about 20 min! I cannot be happier.

Victor and his assistant were efficient and professional. I have been using Stephens services for years and I have always been satisfied. I will continue to use them for all my plumbing needs.

I called to have them come change a part on my heater that Social gas inspected and said needed to be changed and I could probably do it myself and that he could change the part but they dont carry it for my type of model heater. Turns out so cal gas guy was lying, the part was a thermal coupler and its basically a generic part that can be used in heaters and other things. Anyways I call Stephens plumbing and they have a technician reach out to me to service my heater, I tell him I need to have my thermo couple replaced and how much is the flavor because I know the part is only like $10 bucks. He says well first of all you wont find a thermo coupler for $10 dollars that they go for $80 and if I find them for $10.00 to let him known where so he can start getting them from there and I tell him I already did, they sell them at hormone depot for $10 bucks and they go for $7 on amazon, he was silent fr what felt life an eternity because he got busted trying to sell me a $10 part for 8 times its value at that point I knew he couldnt be trusted but I figure hey I could just get the part from home depot and pay the labor for him to replace it, then he tells me he will charge $159 or $189 just to show up, keep in mind this wasnt an emergency visit and I clearly stated that to him, $189 just to show up then whatever the labor was going to be to fix the part is laughable. I ended up calling to cal gas and asking if they change thermo couplers and they said they did so I made a big deal about it complaining that their technician said supposely they didnt change them on my particular model, so they sent another technician out amdnhe changed it and charged me $50 total which I felt was more than reasonable. Use your better judgment when going with Stephens plumbing, if you dont believe me on the price of the thermo coupler look them up on home depot and amazon its basically this thin copper tube with fittings on each side that the pilot flame heats up which in turn sends miliamps to this safety device to keep the gas on or at leas that was how it was explained to me. You just cant trust anyone now a days, it seems like everyone is out to rip you off

Williams was great he gets 5 stars. I was VERY disappointed that Steven’s charges a surcharge for credit card payments. This charge is Steven’s cost of doing business and receive instant cash for the job. Consumers have their own expenses for using a credit card… fees, interest etc. I won’t be using Steven’s going forward but will shop for a service provider that understands business expenses and consumer Satisfaction. Additionally, I wasn’t pleased that I had to keep following up with Steven’s to move the project along.

He had ear buds in all day which was a turn-off, and unfortunately did not arrive on time. But he did a very good job, working methodically….to me: maybe a bit bit lazy?Overall, I will use the company again.

We’ve chosen Stephens’s for plumbing AC multiple times now. Our 30 year AC was due for change after Stephan’s had recharged it in years past. We called for 3 quotes one morning and Stephen’s scheduled following day. 1st quote spent a scheduled 1 1/2 hours pushing to change whole system for $25K after I stated we need to change AC and condenser. Stephen’s salesmen Rob checked system and recommended changing out AC and condenser only at about $8K and explained some of the options from our questions in about 30 minutes. We made arrangements to start in 2 days. The 3rd quote again took an hour, ended with quote to be emailed later in 3 days time. Stephen’s already had two technicians Freddy and Trever out on time, doing a great job on the install answering all my questions. Job well done, thank you Stephen’s.

I had the best experience with Stephens Plumbing. I called in the morning and someone was at my house by the afternoon. The technician, Williams, was very polite, showed me the what the problems were, and did a great job with the repairs. I called for a shower drain that was clogged, turned out my main line needed to be cleaned out. I also had him fix a few minor issues like a leaky toilet and flush out my tankless water heater. He was very happy to help with the extra work. Williams was very honest and I would definitely call Stephens Plumbing again for the next issue that arises in the future.

I did not actually receive any service from this company. My complaint is I was told someone would be at my home today between 4pm and 6pm. At 7:15 no service technician or no call to let me know when if ever someone would arrive. Poor communication skills.

I called this morning for an appointment for my annual furnace checkup. Less than 2 hours later Poncho was here doing his thorough evaluation. He tells me this furnace is around 25 years old but performing well. Oscar arrived quickly within the suggested time period and remembered me and what part was replaced from a previous visit from two years earlier for my A/C.This time he was on my roof again, but to fix my central heating which stopped providing heat over the weekend.He started taking it apart and tried fixing an old blower motor and fin assembly, before suggesting it had to be replaced. Really? I said, Its only 30 years old, and I was not surprised.He ordered the part, installed it, and I had a nice hot heater again by Monday morning. Great job!

Refused to give me any kind of rough estimate over the phone, even with a detailed description of what I wanted them to do.I asked the technician to simply run a snake through our clean out drain. Instead, he spent 45 minutes looking around and under the house to see if he could find more serious problems to repair for far more money. When the sun was almost down, and it was too late to call another plumber, he finally agreed to run the snake at three times the normal price. I had no choice at that point, but to comply.The one positive that keeps this from being a one star review was that the technician was personally quite friendly.When he finally agreed to simply snake the drain, it worked fine, as I told him it would. I will try to remember not to call these folks next time around.

A vent in my kitchen went off and I thought it was a heating vent so I called Stephens. They sent Oscar out to check it out. They charge $125 diagnostic charge. Oscar went into the kitchen, said it was an exhaust fan, found the switch and I turned the fan off ! All of maybe 3 minutes ! Oscar called his supervisor Ryan and he determined NO CHARGE WOULD BE ASSESSED !!!Oscar and Ryan were fabulous to me ! Professional and fair ! We had a small issue in our bathroom with the sink plumbing, and Stephens sent out one of their techs. Overall, they were fast, efficient, but I’m not 100% sure the pricing was clarified. I paid with the invoice said because it was an emergency it needed to get done, but I felt a little uncomfortable about the pricing wasnt explained better.Also, the tech was a little bit unprofessional, using some crass language. That wasn’t a big issue, but the tech also left a mess on the floor that I had to clean up, and he didn’t reinstall the lines from the pipes to the sink. That’s a simple fix, but for the money I paid, I shouldn’t have had to do that myself.

I realized I had a leak on Friday night, shut off the water and was up early Saturday, placed a call to Stephens, with 7 people in a house we couldnt wait. One hour later Byron was there, he replaced the pipe section that was leaking, explained the process and showed me the condition of my pipes at the moment (scary). My household is compromised of 5 females, 1 8 y/o boy and an 18 y/o kid. Byron was patient with me and us as we asked many questions. Kudos to Stephens Plumbing for making sure their staff is educated and thank you to Byron for his service.

The company installed a new ac system & furnace in my home. Tech Freddy and his 2 assistants were very well trained. There office staff (janette) was great, I would recommend any of family or friends for any ac repairs.

After making an appointment, and on the day of appointments, I recieved a phone call 30 minutes prior to arrival. Technicians arrived on time and their appearncewas neat and professional. Omar, showed up for an assessment and quickly identified the problem. Then he rescheduled an appointment for repair.Again, I received a call 30 minutes prior to arrival. Freddy, and his apprentice quickly went to work, replacing the faulty part, and discovering a leak. Omar, showed up to inspect the repair without further incident. I had 4 foot long root blockage in home I just moved to and Stephens responded that day equipped with video to show problem and they began a 5 day process to replace that section, confirm with video and helped with city permit that was needed. Rob determined that my HVAC unit’s cause of blowing air was because it needed to be reset, I had reset the circuit breaker’s after he asked me to, the unit was found to be ok.

Williams is a Sherlock Holmes. He came asking questions, looking for clues and studying the best solutions to unclog the waste line. After the first try he examined the cutter for signs, and he put a bend on the end of the cable to get more cleaning whirl throughout the pipe.If ten is the highest score then he receives a twelve.
