My 15+ year old water heater died and led me to start looking for replacement services online. Max D. did a terrific job replacing our water heater. He is very knowledgeable on his profession and courteous. He didn’t leave any mess in my house and installed it perfectly. After he was done, he explained everything to me how to operate the water heater and how to maintain it.
Max D. came over to our house on Sunday to inspect and replace our leaking water heater. Not only was he very friendly and personable, he didnt try to upsell us on things we didnt really need and presented us with good reasons to upsize our old water heater. He was honest about the quality of our old water heater without making us feel like he was just trying to sell us a new water heater and gave us confidence in the quality of his work. Easy to schedule. Great process. They bring the water heater with them at the time of their inspection. If all things work out (water heater will fit, they have all the equipment they need, etc) they install the same day. Final Cost was less than the amount quoted at the time of scheduling the appointment. One man job. Job took less than three hours. Julian the technician was efficient, professional and friendly. He was easy to understand and walked us through all the features of the new heater, the installation process used and all safety features.

WONDERFUL, SIMPLY WONDERFUL!This was not going to be an easy installation. Our water heater is located in the basement of our 75 years old ranch style home in La Canada. Tony Edwards was Masterful in removing the old water heater up the flight of stairs Single Handedly, then moving the New unit back down those creaking old wooded stairs. The new installation needed to be brought up to all the new CA regulations, which Tony did. The job was Quick, Clean, Hassle Free and at a reasonable price.
The Home Depot has such a large inventory of building supplies, garden supplies, name brand tools etc if you need materials of any kind you will probably find it at The Home Depot. I have found most employees are knowledgeable about various tools or materials and they are friendly and helpful. There is a large paved parking lot well maintained and clean.

Considering the weird late working hours, and the challenge ahead of him, he took it with stride! I called WHO at 9:30 AM for a quote to replace my water heater which had reached the end of it’s life. Toa and Christian responded to my home in Torrance by noon. They were professional, courteous, and best of all never complained when my 2 dogs came over to try and “help”. I would recommend WHO to anybody needing to replace their water heater.
Response was quick, same day. After Paul provided good info to help us decide to replace our 8-year old, popping water heater, Toa arrived as scheduled and was excellent. The final installed work (plumbing, earthquake straps) is a marked improvement over the previous installation, and he also left the area very clean.

Amazing experience! My water heater was not working anymore and my usual repair man doesn’t work anymore. So I found this company online, I called them, someone came the next day, a Saturday. He didn’t try to convince me to replace the water heater, he just had the right piece to replace in his vehicle. He did it on the spot. Yes, it was not super cheap because the piece was expensive, I paid around $800 total, work included, but I was unfortunately expecting something like that. And since then, my water heater works perfectly. I’m happy because it is so cold right now and I wouldn’t have been able to continue having cold showers. I liked the efficiency, how serious they were, how the guy who came was on time and very professional, very nice, very polite.If it is needed again in a far future hopefully, I will call them again for sure.

We were very fortunate today to call WATERHEATERSONLY today because being that our old water heater finally expired, we could not shower or use hot water anymore.The prompt office response was amazing, and we met with one of their installers at our condo. Our old water heater died on Christmas Eve, not the best timing for trying to find a replacement. WHO went above and beyond to make the process simple. Max D. was especially helpful. He did an inspection of the basement set up, made suggestions that addressed issues we didnt know existed, provided several options to solve those issues (without any sense of him trying to oversell) and returned the following day for the installation. Great service, our old one was from them, 15 years ago .pricing was as expected. They Put back our recirculating pump. The hot water in our farthest bathroom is hot when turned on, no wasted water. I would definitely use again

Called water heaters only, they were able to come out the next morning and install it quickly and went over all the new updates on the heater and emergency shut off info. Reference the satisfactory completion of Invoice 175607:Our plumber, Tony Edwards, arrived right on time and began by explaining what he was doing to do. I agreed with his assessment and he went to work without my supervision. Within an hour he had completed the installation and called for me to see a very professional job. Without my prompting he had installed my under heater pan and plumbed it to minimize any water damage should the water heater leak again. He reinstalled the existing recirculating hardware, redirected the overflow pipe, put insulation on all exposed water pipes. He also took the time to explain the state of the art thermostat. It was a pleasure to work with Tony Edwards. I will be sure to request him should I need any plumbing work in the future.

Our water heater finally burst after 15 years. It was 9pm 12/20. I called my regular plumber, who couldnt do a replacement fro 2 days, so her referred me to Water Heaters Only. Their 24/7 customer service guy answered immediately and had me set-up for a replacement installation at 9am in the morning 12/21. Mike C Showed up on time, had the old tank drained and out in not time, set up the platform with new straps and up to code gas and water piping. Went out and returned with a brand-new unit, and we were up and running before noon, hot water a half hour later! Professional, thorough, courteous and less than I thought it would be! They were able to determine that the heater (from a previous owner) was over 12 years old and I knew it was time to replace. This is for a rental unit, and I didnt want the brand new tenant to be without hot water. Our WHO service man did a great job. We got a great quality water heater for $1000 less than a local plumber offered.He was professional and courteous. He knew what he was doing. He brought everything up to current building code status.The scheduled inspection was prompt. He arrived on time. He communicated well about his arrival time, and he was on time.
In the morning I realized that my old water heater had been leaking and needed replacement. By that evening the technician, Michael Cohen, was at my home with the correct size heater in the back of the van ready to do the work. It was his fourth stop of the day so it was already 6 PM when he arrived. By 8 PM he had completed the work. I appreciate them taking their Friday evening doing this replacement. Michael and his assistant/ trainee were very fast and efficient, doing more than I would have expected. He even replaced the old rotting plywood under my heater with some new stuff I happened to have around. It now looks great - and works. The final price was a few hundred over the estimated range I heard on the phone, but that was not a surprise. it was probably because I had everything brought up to current code. I was happy to use Water Heaters Only and will probably use them again - hopefully before it starts leaking next time.
Obviously, replacing a water heater – especially under duress – can be a stressful undertaking. I was blown away by how helpful and responsive WHO was from the very first phone call. Absolutely above and beyond, problem-solving and troubleshooting well past what Id have ever expected. Over the course of several days, I think I must have spoken to nearly everyone at the company at some point – Kristen, Laurie, Julian, Alex, Erik – and each person was just as friendly and helpful as the last, everyone enthusiastically willing to engage with the various frustrating nuances of our unique situation (troubleshooting from afar while we were on vacation, finding the right tank for our oddly sized/shaped space). I cant sing their praises highly enough; they were confident, competent and friendly and they all went out of their way to help us make the best of a difficult situation. Max D was the one who ultimately came for the installation itself, and he was no different – another fantastic ambassador for a really exemplary company. My first inkling that WHO was a reputable company was their responsiveness. I contacted them on a Friday and we had a dialogue over the weekend. It wasnt an emergency. Nevertheless, the technician, Max, came to give me an estimate, on Monday. It was was so competitive that I scheduled the installation for Thursday of the same week. Filed a claim with Fidelity National Home Warranty for a leaking water heater. Was apprehensive since Fidelitys recent reviews were just so bad. In an hour after filing claim online, a service company called and immediately set appointment in two days. However, the following day, said company called that their technical man is down with flu and could not do the job and referred my claim back to Fidelity. In less than an hour, Daniel Vanhove of Water Heaters called and set same day appointment! Daniel arrived earlier than the scheduled time and inspected the water heater (13 years old) while pointing out to me other issues of the unit (apart from leakage). He apprised me the scope of work - replacement of the unit and other connections to bring it to code and make it safe. There were items not covered by the warranty but the amount was so worth it. Then I called here and they told me exactly what price to expect. Great tech, Michael Cohen, and he suggested a tankless water heater when I was prepared to replace my broken one with another water one. I can not say enough good things about this company. My water heater stopped working on Monday afternoon. Since i had a home warranty i called them to arrange for service. Because of the holiday on 7/4 the soonest service i could get was for 7/5. I called Water Heaters only and they had a serviceman out within an hour. Tech Mark did a fantastic job.My w/h was replaced within 2 hours. He made sure everything was up to code and cleaned up under and around the new heater. Wow! To me , the sign of a great company is not just the install but the service incase something happens. They installed a new water heater, even helped reconstruct a new sub floor (above and beyond). The unit was defective out of the box not the fault of Water Heaters only. I called and they were on it immediately. Made sure I had an quick date for the replacement and made it happen fast! Not the cheapest but the best quality and most professional!
On October 20, 2015 our water heater busted right before I needed to leave for work. We called the number on the water heater that came with our house & spoke with Thomas. We first reached out to Home Depot/Fast Water Heater who made false promises and cost us 2 days without any water or repair going forward because we were a modular home. We desperately searched for a company and came across Water Heaters Only. We reached out late Friday 4/05 and were setup with ease for same day installation For Saturday 4/06 afternoon.We got a call from Mike our tech who showed up on time, was very experienced and confident around the repair, explaining what needed to be done, and set an hour Installation on the spot. Based on the great reviews, I called Water Heaters Only and Tony came out and gave us a quote. Tony is so knowledgeable and transparent, that within a few minutes I realized we would be taking cold showers on a regular basis if we tried to repair a 19 year old water heater. Our service was phenomenal! I called them on Fathers Day morning and their technician, David P, was here within hours. We were prepared for a new water heater to be installed but he took a look at our unit and instantly said he would try fixing a broken part first. We are very happy with the job our tech, Max D, did in replacing our worn out water heater. It was a challenging project because of the location of the unit, but he got it done. Also, he discovered that our previous earthquake strapping was pretty much useless, so he made sure the new water heater was properly secured. The collected the information needed and got me scheduled for Monday Morning. They texted me confirmation and Tony called when he was on his way. These guys are a ripoff! Do not use them for routine maintenance of your tankless water heater. Their charge was $399 for an hour (or less) of servicing.Yes. The tech was great. He was thorough. He explained what he was doing. He told me the price beforehand. I was in a rush, so I accepted.But. $399 for an hour of tech time plus he used regular household vinegar and water for flushing... My water heater went out one night, so next morning searched online for a bit and came across Water Heaters Only. Called around 8:00 am and spoke to Justin, who gave straightforward information about price range, coupons, etc., and said they could have a guy out later that day. I explained that I had an expansion tank that needed replacing too, and he said he would make sure the plumber would bring one. I was a little concerned that they might forget about this, but sure enough Tony showed up with the expansion tank (as well as replacement water heater of course). Tony was very pleasant and professional. Not only did he replace the heater and tank, but he also replaced supply lines, the gas feed and gas valve, and installed copper pipe for T&P valve connection (previous tank was just PVC), all as part of the deal. Removal of old heater is part of service too. In less than two hours after Tony started, I was up and running again. The replacement heater is only a 6-year model, but it looks solidly built, with brass (not plastic) drain fitting and has a battery powered electric pilot lighter built-in. (Its not an electric igniter that fires up burner only when needed, but in case gas pilot goes out, no need to fumble with matches to re-light). That said, my old heater was a 6-year model too and it lasted over 15 years. Inv # 98665
Tank was installed on 3/2/2019 by Mario.I called W.HO when I saw there was water in leaving from the tank (I didnt really know if the water was coming from the tank, or the pipes), and there was a lot of water in the garage coming from the tank. Mario came to my house promptly, and was able to correctly pinpoint where the leak was coming from. Given the age of my tank (14 yrs), I decided to replace the tank. Mario was very knowledgeable about water heaters (tank and tankless). He struck me as a nice guy who really knew about his trade. He didnt give up when he encountered difficulties getting the tank set up, and was honest with us about the whole process. He brought our tank up to codes and did a fantastic job with the installation. We highly recommend W.H.O.! Although the job was pretty costly, we dont feel ripped off, and felt Mario did a professional job, and when above and beyond to make sure it was a good experience for us.-Su Wu

I got an estimate for a 40-gallon water heater from Tony, which was on the high side because I had a power vent. I decided to go with a tankless water heater instead, so Mike gave me an estimate for that. The next day, on January 20, 2018, with assistance from Mario, Mike removed my old 40-gallon water heater and installed a tankless water heater in its place. It took about two hours to install. They did a great job, and gave me all the info I would need to maintain the unit.

A confession: I was wary of Water Heaters Only, because it was the first thing that came up on Google when I searched for someone to replace my water heater. You know how youre always suspicious of the first one, like there must be something wrong with the easiest one to find? Untrustworthy, watch your wallets!! The rep form Water Heaters Only told me I needed to have extra work done to be compliant and up to code and not surprisingly my home warranty didnt cover the difference (over $500). I reluctantly agreed. When the County Inspector came to sign off on the permit I was told that the extra work was not needed at all. I tried to contact Mgmt at Water Heaters Only and was told that other portions of the replacement were not covered and that they had verified this with my home warranty company. I called my Home Warranty Company and this was not true!!I tried to get info to speak with the corporate office and was hung up on twice!! Terrible customer service, taking advantage of people when they need help and then they turn their backs when you call them out on it. I am pursuing possible legal remedy and/or contacting the local news channels as Im sure others have fell for the same mistreatment.

LIke others, I felt WHO was straight up and I continue to feel that way. Heck, they could have ripped me off, after all, what the heck do I know about water heaters? But they made me feel 1) they knew what they were doing, 2) they worked with volume and didnt need to overcharge to make a living, and 3) they would stand behind their work. In fact, they couldnt get to my house the day they promised and, as a compensation, extended my warranty. They certainly would not do that if they werent confident in the heaters they install (in my case, Bradford and White, a highly recommended brand) and their installation work (I certainly thought Tony, my installer, did careful and clean work). Im pleased and pretty sure they wont even need to come back during that long warranty period.

After receiving a massive water bill I went on a crusade to cut my water consumption. Part of my plan was to repair the recirculation pump on my tankless water heater in order to have instant hot water rather than waste water waiting for it to warm up. Mike quickly identified the problem and offered an expert solution to replace the water heater, install an external recirculation pump and an expansion tank. He also brought the exhaust up to code. I had a contract with Goettle. They failed to respond to multiple messages, and even asked if this was urgent (no hot water in a home with 5 kids), and then didnt call me back. I called Water Heaters Only, and they were there at 9am the next morning, and were $1,600.00 less than Goettles quote. Amazing!

Do not use this company!. Their pricing is ridiculous and they will do everything to take advatange of you if you are in an emergency or not having much knowledge of the installation process. If you call to question the quote and actually ask why certain things are needed or priced a certain way the service manager has a meltdown. if you think that charging $2,500.00. is a fair price then by all means use them. Home Depot beats their pricing by $1,000.00.
While this companys name suggests an elevated expertise in the area of water heater service or repair, the company presents itself sole proprietor -a one-man operation.on a recent call for weekend service on my waterheater, the owner/operator of who, inc. advised that he could not look at it until monday.he also advised that he would charge $15-$1,800.00 for therepair without asking for addl details. maybe it was based on my santa monica zip.code!person on the other end of the line failed to impress me as a specialist of any sort. i gave this company a hard pass. im so glad i did!
Changed out heater today. A nice gentleman by the name of Tony did the installation. He was very nice and taught my little brothers as he asked him all kinds of questions about the installation. Would go to this place for service again. 10/10.

This is the 3rd water heater we have installed by Water Heater Only Inc. The second one lasted 19 years. Mario L. did the installation this morning. Very knowledgable and professional. Hope this one last just as long as the 2nd one, if not longer.

The technician was prompt to call with ETA and arrived on time. He explained my options and possible causes and what was best was to replace. This is the second one we have bought from them. The first lasted 10 years. Technician T.E. was very professional, thorough and quick.
Once we discovered our water heater had died, we discovered Water Heaters Only on the internet. Max contacted us and advised he would definitely be able to install a new water heater the same day which he did. Max was extremely pleasant and professional and made the experience positive for us. The install only took a couple of hours but we truly appreciate him explaining everything and then leaving the work area clean.

I only wanted to say I will never use this service because they use unscrupulous advertising. They are featured in adware and it cost me 49 dollars to remove. I know they are aware of it because of course they have to pay for it.the only way to prevent people from advertising on adware viruses is to never never never use their services.If they are willing to advertise this way, then there is no way I would let them into my home to do work.It is a good lesson undoing the right thing or not doing the right thing in this case it makes people doubt everything about you.

Very efficient in installation though it should be noted that the installer is not a plumber. If you have anything more than an inlet and an outlet, you need a plumber. Seemed a bit over-priced.
Great experience with Max O who identified the problem and was quick to suggest a solution. In this case, it was to replace the heater which was close to 20 years old and needed an upgrade.

Gotta give a shout-out to Max D who went above and beyond for me. He came out to install my new water heater from Water Heaters Only on Tuesday. He explained everything and advised that since we are only two people in the house now (not the four it used to be) we didnt need the super-duper extra extra 400 BTU unit so we got the 300 BTU model still 40 gallons so lots of hot water for everything we need. Not sure it saved me $ immediately but in the long run my yearly gas bill will not be quite as high. Max was fabulous! He was very thorough and a delight to have around! He also did a fantastic job! Cleaned up everything! This is my third or fourth time using Water Heaters Only and my first time with Max... gotta ask for him next time! Thank you Water Heaters Only and especially Max D! You are the best!
