Ive actually never come across a company as organized as Monkey Wrench.Their communication was stellar. They even sent me a video about the plumber who was to come out and do the work so I can get to know him before his arrival. This might seem extraneous or unnecessary (probably is) but it was a nice touch.My installer Enrique was very clear in his communication and solved my problem within the first 30 seconds. I know that may be unique to me, but overall I could tell even if the problem was more complicated, he wouldve been able to solve it without issue.I can whole heartedly recommend them for their communication skills and level of service.

Luis came over and looked at the leak. Examined the leak and investigated everything as thoroughly as possible . He knew what he was doing, was respectful, made sure I knew what he was doing before proceeding. Would definitely recommend and will be using this company again.

Our experience with Monkey Wrench was terrible. They poorly predicted the timeline (or misled us on timeline to get the job), leaving us without hot water for days. They installed a water heater shoddily and not to code (loose gas line, no trap, questionable strapping). When there was a another problem, in part because of their work, they gave us an estimate that was 40% higher than the plumbers we eventually hired to do the job. Though they gave us a discount on the original job due to the late work, We almost certainly overpaid for that too.

I work for a water filter manufacturer, LifeSource Water Systems. After an installation for one of our customers there was a concern for water flow in one bathroom. After inspection we determined it necessary to have a Plumbing contractor come on and assess. We called Monkey Wrench and quickly determined, after a conversation with Amber, they were qualified to do the job for us. Henry did initial assessment and determined what needed to be done. Our customer was scheduled a few days later to perform the work needed and Henry came back with Eddie to complete the job. They were quick and efficient and handled themselves in a professional manner while at the customers home. We would like to thank the whole team at Monkey Wrench and will use them again in the future as the need arises. My tankless heater wasn’t working and they sent a repair technician, Rick Aguirre, within hours of my phone call. He was very polite, kind, professional, and great with my big dog :) Rick diagnosed the problem within minutes upon arrival and fixed it in less than 30seconds. He didn’t charge me for the service. I highly recommend this company and absolutely recommend Rick! I will call and request him if I ever need assistance again!

Rick and Alex arrived not only on time, but a bit early. They diagnosed our problem in short order - dead 16-year-old tankless water heater - and provided us with options for replacement. They installed the new unit - a substantial improvement over our old one! - the same afternoon. Felix was on time and really great to work with. He solved our initial back-up problem very quickly, then did more diagnostics to make sure we knew our situation and our options . After viewing video of the main line, we agreed with Felix that additional work (hydro jetting) would buy us more peace of mind - he came back for a second day to make sure we were satisfied with the hydro jet and showed us new video of the cleared drain. This mainline has had on-going issues, but Felix has done the best job with it. We finally have a little peace of mind.

Monkey Wrench responded fast and dispatch was great. Hired them to fix corroded pipe and replace a bathtub faucet.This was a vacant home and the owner wasn’t on site during the work and I managed the job remotely. This was a $1000 job!* I was told I would receive photos of the completed work prior to being invoiced , that didn’t happen. This mattered to me as I wasn’t on site.* A dishwasher was removed to provide access to the plumbing. When they sold me the job they indicated they would put that back in place. They left with it sitting in the middle of the kitchen.* After reinstalling valves and a faucet, in a tub with shower, they didn’t caulk around the fixtures. This is a must and without would have allowed water and moisture to get into the wall creating a mold issue.I had to pay a handyman to complete their work!

I am sorry that I used this company.I made an appointment to have my tankless water heaters be checked and have the annual maintenance and cleaning and changes of filters done.the office quoted $195 ( special promotion) and when the technician (Rick Aguire) arrived after 2 minutes he started convincing me to buy new tankless heaters which would be $12000 ( yes twelve thousand ) and when I said NO he spent over 15 minutes of his valuable and charging time to explain and convince me to do it, even offered my finance to buy!!after getting frustrated then he said I have to pay $390 because the quote for $195 was for only one unit and it was miscommunication ( which I doubt because the office clearly was told about two units), anyway I accepted, but then he told me that I have to pay separately for the filters ( each one $145) I was really disappointed and just wanted to get it over with because I am a physician and I did not want to waste any more time bargaining with this charlatan, I accepted to pay for filters extra and went inside my house to relax from this toxic atmosphere, after a few minutes I came back and asked him if he changed the filter which he said YES I asked him that I wanted to see the old, dirty filter and he said he put it in his van and I asked him to bring it back and I want to see it which he went to his van and came back and said SORRY I MADE A MISTAKE I THOUGHT MY OTHER TECHNICIAN CHANGED IT WHICH HE DID NOT!!I asked him I dont want the filter change at all and then he said your filter pump is not working and we can change it for $1800 which I called my son and he googled it was $102 and his plumber would do it for $150this company is really a dishonest and tooooo expensive

I was told I had a complicated sprinkler valve problem that would cost $1050. After some discussions, the technician ultimately lowered the estimate to $575. I decided to think about it. The next day, my gardener spent about ten minutes putting in a gasket. He didn’t charge me.. It’s working fine now.

Fast and EXPERT!My job was complex, a duel Zoeller sewage pump system that needed repair, so it involved plumbing, electrical hookup, and a solid knowledge of heavy-duty pumping equipment. Michael showed up in the morning, knew Zoeller systems inside and out, knew the best replacement parts and all the recommended procedures, and by the afternoon, it was all working perfectly to factory specs. Mike is Zoeller certified. Also, the company’s customer support was first class. I contacted them with my technical issues through their website and thirty minutes later they emailed me back saying their techs had read over my sewage breakdown description and could fix it no problem.They had an opening the very next morning and I jumped on it and am so glad did. And this may seem minor but just like Uber or Lyft I get a message a half hour before the technician arrived with his smiling photo saying he was on his way. Fair price, not dirt cheap, but pros who know how to get the job done right.

I cannot recommend Monkey Wrench enough! What started out as a sewer line issue, became an emergency main line issue and Felix and his team were able to proactively, professionally and promptly take care of us. Not only were they able to quickly identify the issue and solve the problem, they provided great recommendations and never felt like they were upselling. Felix and Elias were even able to come back to make sure everything was OK with our irrigation system that was damaged with the main line repair.

Replacing a faulty shower controller. It turned out to be a much more complicated job that it appeared once the wall got opened (crazy stuff with the existing piping), but Kai did a great job of finding a solution and when all was done, it looked and worked great.

I recently had the unfortunate experience of hiring Monkey Wrench Plumbing to fix a leaking bathtub faucet and remove a stuck hose (installing a new hose bib) in my home, and I must say, I am extremely disappointed and appalled at his plumbers blatant overcharging for their services. The total for these two services was 811.00. 150 dollars for parts and 661.00 for labor. When I looked up the shower valves that were replaced they were approximately 20 dollars each and the hose bib is about 10 dollars coming to a grand total of about 50 dollars, retail. So, they up-charged 100 dollars on parts alone. Now let’s get to the labor while he was technically here for approximately 2 hours, and he did fix the problem, that does include the 2 separate trips to the store to go buy the parts. The first initial trip plus an additional trip because he got the wrong parts the first time. In total, he spent about 30-40 minutes actually working and fixing the problem. Regardless 330 dollars an hour for labor is ridiculous. I cannot recommend them to anyone. Its evident that they are taking advantage of their customers lack of plumbing knowledge to exploit them financially.I cannot emphasize enough how crucial it is to avoid Monkey Wrench Plumbing at all costs. Their dishonest practices, overcharging, and lack of integrity have left me feeling cheated and taken advantage of. There are plenty of other reputable plumbers out there who provide fair pricing and honest service. Spare yourself the disappointment by steering clear of this untrustworthy plumber.

Thank you for sending us the invoice with the information. According to the yellow copy of order #089088, we were given a reduction in the amount of $965. for motor & calabrator. We have never received a bill from Monkey Wrench, so we were unaware we owed any money. We feel badly that you have never contacted us about the huge outstanding balance. According to our copy of the contract, we owe a balance of $7,385.00. We will happily give you a check or an American Express credit card number for the full amount due. We have a platinum Am Ex, so there is no question about Monkey Wrench Plumbing getting the payment. Here it is July, 2023 and the A/C no longer works. That is only 8 months ago, and we havent used the A/C until now. And, we were told the first available service appointment is the middle of August. The temp in our home right now is 100 degrees. We are in our 80s and are suffering in this heat wave. We are disappointed about the service received from Monkey Wrench. We were always happy and pleased with the service over th years from La Canada Air Condition abnd Heating.

I called Monkey Wrench and they sent over Ruben & Jesus to fix my A/C leak and they did a great job. They were on time, friendly, professional, patient and explained everything to me in detail. They fix the problem to my satisfaction. Before calling Monkey Wrench I had a home warranty with American Home Shield and they only took my money and they didnt fix anything. The vendor they sent over from a A/C company called Climatech didnt want to do the work and said it was a plumbing issue. Do not use these companies they are the worse! Rick who came to give me a quote on a tankless water heater was very professional, knowledgeable, and helpful in giving me all the information I needed to make an informed decision.

15 year old water heater finally gave out one day. I called several companies and Monkey Wrench was the only one that was able to send a tech within the same day. The technicians original assessment was that some parts need to be replaced, but if that didnt work, then the entire heater would need to be changed out. The original estimate to repair parts was $1700 versus $3000 to replace. The tech came back the following morning and replaced the parts, but the water heater still did not work. But they were able to replace the water heater the same day and only charge me the difference. I will say the company has GREAT customer service. I got several text messages and emails letting me know when someone would show up and even included a picture of the tech. Jonathan Bruce, my tech was great and very professional. He explained everything very clearly. The only thing I CANT comment on is their pricing since I did not have time to shop around to compare.

Was in need of HVAC inspection and filter changing on property with ADU. Monkey wrench was vey responsive and Kennth Franklin arrived and was very insightful, descriptive, answered every question I had and was patient with me.
