Todd Gilmore did an outstanding job from start to finish installing a brand new high SEER variable speed AC and heating system in my house. This was not an easy job as the unit had to be disassembled and reassembled in order to fit in the limited space of my attic. They quoted me an attractive price, they came on time, were fast and reliable. I am very please with their professionalism and service. The HVAC system is working perfectly. They deserve a 5 star review and I can highly recommend them!
Todd and Dan and their team has been replacing/ upgrading my house’s upstairs AC and heating unit. I had a 20+ year old combo central unit that ran on its last legs a few days ago. I called and the next day Todd sent out Dan who assessed the issue and his team got to work by the end of the week. They just finished install on a Saturday, we’re completely professional and gracious to my family. Highly recommend them.
We had an excellent experience. We have a 1920s-era home on a stair-street* in Echo Park with lots of old features & appliances. We deeply appreciate where we live, but its exceptionally difficult to maintain and a lot of things need replacing.... like the HVAC that just went out. The unit had a service sticker on it from a couple decades ago, and we were thoroughly surprised the number still worked (that never happens). Dan from Gilmore came out right away, talked me through everything going on with the unit, answered my millions of questions, and definitely tried his darnedest to help us get away w/ minimal intervention (and cost). Naturally, our place was having none of it. Dan connected with Todd who connected with us to figure out the way forward, and Dan was soon back at our place, with Tim, to install a whole new heat-pump system.Everyone was kind & easy to work with from start to finish (just a few days). When youre spending a ton of money b/c something needs to be fixed--and fixed right--its a relief to work with friendly people so its not painful in other ways. Home repair stuff is a huge drag, then you meet people/companies that still figure out how to make worse. Not these folks. I would never be able to say enough about Dan and Tims good-natured presence if I tried. We dont want more HVAC problems, and we dont want our friends and neighbors to have them, either, but well call Gilmore again if we need to and recommend others we know do the same.-m---------* To explain: our home is in a hilly area of Echo Park, and theres no street access, no driveway--the street we live on is an actual staircase, no other way in or out but to take the stairs...100s of them. Despite stair-streets being common in our general area, some businesses wont take jobs that present access-issues like our home does, so we also always make it a point to let review-readers know, hey, this business takes stair-street homes, they worked with us despite our tough/awkward location.
We called Todd on a Friday morning entering a 3-day weekend that was forecast as the beginning of week of triple-digit temperatures. We explained that the fan on our outside unit had stopped spinning the evening prior, and thus, the air-conditioner was inoperable, and we were desperate to get it repaired.Todd cleared time in his schedule on another job to come take a look at the unit. He kept us apprised of his arrival, and showed up when he told us to expect him. He was personable and professional when he arrived. He asked a few questions about the unit, opened it up to take a look, and confirmed that the fan motor was dead. He made a few phone inquires and found an exact replacement motor. In total, it took him approximately 1hr-30mins between arriving, and having the new motor installed and the unit up and running again. This included the travel time to pick-up and return with the new motor. Our experience with Todd Gilmore was nothing short of fantastic. The service was excellent and the price was fair. We would recommend Todd Gilmore to everyone, as we will always call him for our own heating & air-conditioning needs.
