I had a major gas leak. Tip Top came at the earliest time their next morning of operation, and operated a leak detection search, and found it within a half hour. They showed me photos of my entire gas system, revealing that its entire 74 year old piping system was corroded. They gave me 3 different options for repair and repair +upgrade. I chose to repipe the entire system. They finished the large job within 2 days. Their price was fair and competitive with all the highest-rated companies. They left technicians with me for 4 hours after finishing to wait for the SoCal Gas Co. man to turn on the gas again. They cleaned up the work areas in my house to immaculate (looking as if they were never there). Im very satisfied with their work for me, and would recommend them to anyone needing leak detection and repair jobs.

I had an underground gas leak that no one could pinpoint the location of, including my regular plumber and the gas company. Tip Top brought out their gas detection expert (third-party) who found the leak within 15 minutes. I was worried it would be super expensive, but Tip Top gave me a very fair price for repairing the line (under concrete), installing an isolation valve, and doing a concrete patch. The team showed up on time the next morning, fixed the problem, and left everything clean and looking great, including the patched concrete. Everyone who came out - Mike, Izaiah, and team - was very thorough, knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. I wouldnt hesitate to use Tip Top again and to recommend their work to others.

Mike came to our rescue when we were in emergency mode with a massive leak in our backyard. He quickly identified the issue, location of the leak, and had it fixed almost immediately. He was very fair and transparent with pricing and I loved the constant communication and progress updates throughout the day. I’m so glad I called these guys!

This company is simply WOW! I cant praise them enough. Mike was extremely responsive, professional and thorough. When he said he was sending his best team to replace my sewer, he was not kidding. The team of professional, polite, kind and diligent brothers (4 on day one and 6 of them on day 2) efficiently dug the trenches for my new sewer and quickly had the new sewer connected and working in 2 and a quarter days. The bid was fair and the job took 2.5 days less than the other company that gave me a bid. I wondered how Tip Top Drain Pros & Plumbing Experts had such good reviews before I hired them. Now I know why!! I recommend them highly. (NOTE: they did a substantial sewer replacement vs. a sewer repair.)

From the jump Tip Top separated themselves from the rest.I reached out to them on Easter Sunday when we determined we had a gas leak. Gas company came out and shut us down. Having a toddler - my wife and I needed hot water and heat immediately and were concerned at the situation lurking under our home.I received a personalized and thorough response directly from the owner, David. I spoke to him that afternoon (on a Sunday) and he assured me he would have a plumber scheduled for Monday morning.The next day - right on schedule - Willie came to my home to assess the situation. Willie was knowledgeable and thorough in evaluating what was wrong. Our gas lines were a mess and even with bad news, Willie had a plan to solve the situation effectively and efficiently. He is a pro and I trusted him the start.Over a couple days, Willie had a crew of excellent and hardworking plumbers - Jose, Pablo and Jose - out to my home. They were accommodating and continuously updated me on progress. The three plumbers worked non-stop and because our situation was such a mess, they were able to identify problems and rectify them.So even with bad news - they had solutions. Searched on line for a reputable plumber. I called Tip Top and spoke to the owner, David who was very nice, helpful, and fair on a price quote. Scheduled a next day appointment. Luckily got a quick call back from their Field Manager Willie who said he could come right out. Willie could not have been more lovely or professional. For the pipe repair at 1353 N. Fuller Ave., Los Angeles, 90046 - the pipe has a leak about 32 from the curb and is 1 of 4 storm lines from the catch basin. Is it less costly to cut out about 12 inches of the existing and use a Fernco connector to refit a new pipe to the existing?

A shot glass fell into our garage disposal and one our kids flipped the switch. Bad idea. Tip Top Drain Pros diagnosed the issue quickly and replaced the disposal quickly and economically.They were friendly, clean, communicative and helpful. We also had a leak from our dishwasher. DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY. I just had these guys come in today to fix a valve on my downstairs bathtub/shower and they ended up flooding my upstairs bathroom because they left all the fixtures running once they turned the water back on, leaving me with about 10 gallons of water hanging out in my ceiling. Tried to contact the company to get them to send a water mitigation team out to dry the ceiling and the owner David Jones proceeded to call me a liar, tell me its my fault, say that its their policy to leave all the fixtures running on full blast for 30 minutes straight without telling the homeowner that theyve restored water to the house, and then hang up on me. Ive currently got several high powered dehumidifiers from Servpro running on full blast and am now working with my insurance company to repair the water damage to my ceiling. Hands down worst company Ive had the misfortune to work with in LA. If you need plumbing work done, call literally any other plumber but Tip Top.

Willie was well spoken, conducted himself in a professional manner and noticed the broken sewer pipe almost immediately. We had a gas leak somewhere under our 20’ wide, 100’ long driveway, which had six inches of cement with rebar in it, topped with 6” pavers. Tip Top was able to locate the exact location of the leak, remove only fifteen pavers and dig down five feet into the dirt to replace the damaged gas pipe in the middle of the driveway. They were meticulous during the entire process. They then refilled the hole and compacted the dirt so that we could patch the concrete and replace the pavers back into position. There was zero dirt or debris left and, of course, their repair passed inspection. The entire process took TWO DAYS. We’re back in our house and I couldn’t be happier with Tip Top’s service. I highly recommend them.

The gas company informed me that I had at least one gas leak in an old house I inherited several years ago, and therefore the gas would not be turned back on until the leaks were repaired.  I live in the San Fernando Valley where the weather has been in the triple digits, lately, resulting in warm water even though the gas was off, which was lucky because it took me three weeks and several plumbers’ estimates before I found David, the owner of Tip Top Plumbing.  There are three structures on my property: a house, a guest house, and a garage with an office, housekeeper’s quarters, and a laundry room, and there are gas lines running both above and below ground to all three of these structures.  Given the age of the pipes, how many of them there are, and how many directions they run in, I knew this could be both a plumber’s nightmare and a plumber’s dream: a nightmare because old gas lines can be a challenge for several reasons, and a dream because this makes it easier to convince a homeowner that more needs to be done than is actually necessary.  Just as I feared, before I called David/Tip Top, every plumber who came out and gave me an estimate wanted to do a lot more, and charge a lot more, than I suspected was called for.  My suspicions were reinforced when I started to do some research into how gas leaks can or need to be fixed, depending on the type, location, and condition of the pipes.  My research paid off, and my suspicions confirmed, when I finally called Tip Top and David came out to look at the problem.  He not only told me what needed to be done, but he also told me what didn’t need to be done, and what could be repaired instead of replaced.  Different from what the other plumbers who gave me estimates told me, what David told me was in line with what I read on the Internet and watched on YouTube.  I’ve had to hire many plumbers over the years, and in my experience no other plumber was as informative, honest, and, bottom line, ethical as David, and his estimate was approximately half what the other plumbers quoted me.  The work, itself, was excellent.  I am not a plumber, but you don’t have to take my word for it—the man from the gas company who came out to check if there were still any leaks, and to make sure the work was up to code, told me that Tip Top had done an excellent job.  About the cleanup: When the Tip Top plumbers were finished, you could not tell that sections of brick walkways had been removed, plants uprooted, trenches dug through gardens and under fences, and mounds of dirt, old pipe, and other debris had been piled up everywhere.  Everything, living or not, was back in place and looked as if they had never been removed, and all areas were left neat and clean.  None of the plumbing companies I hired in the past were nearly this meticulous in cleaning up after they had completed the job.  An honorable mention needs to be given to Willy, the job supervisor.  The work took several days, and Willy showed up several times each day to inspect the work, etc.  When the work and cleanup were finished, he came back the next day to do an overall inspection.  My husband had noticed that a sprinkler head had been broken in one section of the garden and an exposed sprinkler pipe had also been broken in another section of the garden.  He pointed these out to Willy who then immediately went to the local hardware store and paid retail for parts to do the repairs.  Even though we told him that he didn’t need to repair these sprinklers because we had permanently shut them off when we had drip irrigation installed, he repaired them, anyway, and did an excellent job.  He told us that anything Tip Top plumbers break, Tip Top repairs or replaces, period; of course, at no charge.  As we all know, a plumber who is both excellent and ethical can be hard to find.  You will find such a plumber in David, along with his excellent team, when you call Tip Top Drain Pros & Plumbing Experts.
