NexGen HVAC & Plumbing

I woke up this morning to a mainline back up! This has happened every 2 years or so and its always an awful feeling, especially since I have tenants that are dependent upon working plumbing. I called NexGen, per usual, and they came out within a few hours. Dominick was the first technician on site and he was so polite and punctual. He gave me clear instruction as to what he was going to do and was just so sweet and engaging. He began the snaking process and then we realized the problem was larger than we thought.So then Dominick called his project manager, Kevin. Kevin and his colleague, Tim, showed up about 15 minutes later and said they needed to camera the line (free of charge) to help me better understand what was going on with my main line. All 3 of them spent nearly 90 minutes trying to clear the line, but to no avail. There was one stubborn part that they couldnt get, despite their obvious years of combined experience.I realized I needed to hydrojet the line, as I had done a few years before. NexGen gave me a fair price for the jetter and within 30 minutes (!!), the jetter showed up and cleared the line. Kevin and Tim stayed the whole time, well into their Friday night evening, and made sure the jetting went well. They did at least 4 passes to make sure most of the roots were cleared. Then they re ran camera to make sure the issue was resolved.Unfortunately, I may need more permanent repair solutions in the future, which we discussed, but in the meantime, Kevin, Dominic, and Tim bought me a few years of time.Ive used NexGen for my rental properties as well as my primary residence and the guys are always great and they have the best response times in the industry.Thanks Dominic, Kevin, and Tim!!!

*UPDATE* - I am providing an update to my previous review. After posting about my initial poor experience with NEXGEN’s CODEX HVAC service and reporting it to management, I am very pleased to report that NEXGEN has made every effort to quickly and fully rectify the situation. My experience does show that management - all the way up to the President - cares about NEXGEN’s reputation and providing a quality product. Ruben was very thoughtful and listened with care to the details of my experience. He worked with other members of management to immediately address my concerns and to make a plan to bring the system up to full operability. Kevin and Brandon returned to my property and spent hours completing the repairs - they were truly a pleasure to work with. Although my initial interaction with NEXGEN was not pleasant - their efforts to remedy the situation far exceeded my expectations and I am truly grateful. Thank you NEXGEN!

Wonderful experience!! Justin was on-time, courteous, professional, very detailed in his explanation of what needed to be done to get my air conditioning working in optimal capacity. I have full confidence in using this company for my repairs and cleaning. I look forward to working with Justin again thank you Justin and Nexgen, you have an excellent employee.

Edward Pineda provided excellent service and demonstrated phenomenal professionalism and expertise in my system. I called NexGen out to address a possible Condenser Coil issue preventing my unit from dehumidifying our home well. Edward Pineda diagnosed the problem and fixed the root cause within 60 minutes. NexGens appointment time was perfect as Edward arrived exactly on time with zero issues. I will continue to be a NexGen customer for life.

David T. was very professional, on time, and friendly! He did a great job explaining the situation and the potential solutions. He even played with my puppy! Definitely recommend his services, will request him in the future.

If theres -0 I will give this fake company I will give. Don’t Waste your time with this company! They never show up with your schedule day then they bombarde you with text & phone call to reschedule, then they will tell you can you wait another month! I don’t even believe they are exists. Don’t waste your valuable time with this non existing company learn from me!

Arnold was on time and very professional! He made great recommendations to improve my HVAC system and furnace. Will be using them again in the future!

Unfortunately they are in the practice of taking advantage of senior citizens. They didn’t verify if the transaction was fully understood or if the price really fit in the budget. They made a “deal” at 8:30 and the. We’re back at 7 am to install not nearly enough time to review purchase or observe state mandated “cool down” period. The sales manager even admit that the sales rep didn’t follow proper procedure but when asked to rectify the situation they went silent. Avoid shady business tactics and save yourself the frustration, go anywhere else.

Wesly and his tech team are very kind and professional! They have fixed our problems and cleaned the equipment and area after done. We are very happy what they have provided to us! Will work with them again for our future plumbing needs. Thanks!

We have an old AC unit that has been leaking water. We called several HVAC companies in the area and were not confident with them. We finally came across NexGen and the initial customer service alone was amazing. Quick, flexible and friendly.The technician we had is named Justin who we highly recommend! Not only was he early to arrive, but he was thorough and informative. He was careful in inspecting our unit both inside the home and up on our roof. Definitely felt bad for him having to go up there under the hot sun but he remained professional and friendly the whole time. Extra points for being dog friendly to my nosey dog! Thank you Justin!

Technician Jose arrived promptly he confidently went about his work after I showed him what the problem was he explained many things to me along the way and what I may encounter in the future. He worked promptly and took care of my problems pretty quick. Thank you

My house needs a lot of repairs and I will definitely hire these guys within the next couple of months to join me in the journey to improve it.To call these guys professionals is an understatement. They were absolutely fabulous. They were informative, easy to engage with, and they took their time to educate me on what needs to be done. DO NOT USE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!! This company is great…. At nickel and diming theirs customers at every turn. I was simply trying to get my water heater, furnace and a/c system for two of my properties serviced for their yearly maintenance and decided to use NexGen.NexGen came out and found something wrong with everything. I let them talk me into spending $50,000 to replace everything. One would think that a customer spending that much money would be treated decently and fairly but sadly that was not the case.The workers they hire vary from unprofessional to decent but weigh much more heavily on the unprofessional side. This company has a habit of scheduling you early in the morning for an 8am to 9am window and showing up hours later.The plumbers who installed my water heater also took an hour and a half lunch break which very excessive. After everything was installed, I immediately lost all water pressure and was unable to access any hot water.When I called Customer Service, I requested to speak to a manager. The Customer Service Representative told me Jorge was “in a meeting and would call me back.” Two hours later I had not received a call. I called back again and was able to get ahold of a different manager named Vanessa. Vanessa informed me Jorge wasn’t even in the office or at work that day. So now this company has integrity issues and does nothing when their employees blatant lie to their customers.Vanessa swore to get these issues resolved and two hours later I was contacted by a different manager. I can’t even remember this persons name because of all of the people I’ve had to deal with regarding this issue.The new manager informed me he would send someone to fix the problem free of charge (Which is what I figured “Lifetime Warranty” implied).Unfortunately I have to work double shifts until I can pay off all of this work NexGen insisted I needed. The only day I could schedule NexGen to come out was on May 27th, 3 weeks after the fact after I had to cancel plans I already had scheduled.After all of this, I receive a text today on May 12th at 6:15pm stating NexGen is going to be at my house May 13th. I had to call Customer Service immediately to correct this issue stating that this was THE WRONG DAY and that the correct day was May 27th.The Customer Service Representative simply blamed their error “on a glitch.”This company is absolutely horrible and I regret spending so much of my hard earned money listening to these people, being taken completely advantage of and being treated horribly.Please learn from my mistake and find LITERALLY ANYONE ELSE for your HVAC and plumbing needs!!!- Ben MartinezUpdate: Upon receiving this review, NexGen sent Yazmin, one of their managers to speak with me and my wife directly in person. Yazmin was very professional and helpful when it came to addressing all of our issues we’ve been having. She even went as far as to let us know she would be reviewing all the calls between us and the Communication Center. It is unfortunate that there is some lack of communication between the Communication Center and the In-Field Technicians and I would highly recommended NexGen take a serious look into how they can better improve their Communication Center. NexGen definitely needs more employees like Yazmin. Thanks to her help and assistance I have changed my rating from 1 Star to 3 Stars. If anyone ever has any issues with NexGen I highly recommend asking to speak with YazminYet another update: After having several issues with not having any hot water after getting my electric water heater installed, NexGen sent a total of 3 different plumbers to “make sure there was a problem.” As if me telling them I had no hot water wasn’t enough of a confirmation for them.I literally had to call the company and threaten them to go in person to their headquarters to raise hell in order for them to get this problem resolved! Apparently this raised concern and they finally sent the third plumber who was able to resolve this problem.DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! SERIVE IS 0/10

Manny and Andrew came out and did a great job. They inspected the system which is on the roof of my 2nd floor condo and made sure everything was in working order after the recent heat wave. The company communicated well and kept me informed and reminded me of the appointment. Great Job. 5 Stars.

Patrick was AMAZING!!! Ive been having airflow issues for a while now, and he was finally able to perfect it for me! This company is great. I got new heat, A/C, and duct work with them. They are professional, responsive, have same day and next day availability, work on weekends, have great prices... Dont go anywhere else.

The last few weeks I have had an issue with my shower drain. I contacted NexGen (first time customer) and they were at my home in no more than 20 minutes! Aaron is an extremely professional, knowledgeable and helpful person with a very friendly personality. Most importantly, he was very efficient in solving the issue with the drain! I highly recommend NexGen to anyone in need of their listed services.

Connor and Manny were my technicians and were extremely helpful! They were able to isolate a solution to my problem and were extremely professional and easy going. Nothing but laughter and smiles which was extremely welcoming. I would definitely recommend and will absolutely be using them for any future needs!

NexGen was my first choice for a furnace and ductwork replacement. They did an outstanding job. The project literally started the same day the project manager came. The project was complex as the home was built in mid century with many rooms, 2500 square feet. The project manager arranged for a demolition specialist crew to remove all old ducts and asbestos. The next day NexGen arrived with three trucks and six technicians for the installation. They were very skilled and knowledgeable. And super efficient and answered all questions. Very nice people too! Highly recommended!

I received a very thorough estimate and consultation from Daniel. He was very knowledgeable and gave us an estimate for the 1st model that would be fully warranted; if available it could be installed immediately for around $22k. My budget wont have me go with them, but for someone with a bigger pocketbook they are worth considering over The Champions.

The technician(Michael) arrived on time and explained the work that he was going to perform. He put down a drop-cloth to protect the floor took pictures and showed me parts that he did maintenance or inspected. At the end he informed me that the unit was working fine but it’s very old. I was very satisfied with the job, fee and he didn’t try to sell me anything else.

OUTSTANDING!! Outstanding service. I called and a live human being picked up the phone and no buttons needed to be pushed. This seems to be very rare these days!!. There was no robot, no layers of voice mail, just a simple phone call that went straight to a person. We were able to make the appointment right then and there. I did not have to wait for someone to return my call.I dealt their Technicians Art R and Jesus. We scheduled to have our thermostat professionally installed for 9:00am. They called an hour before to let me know they were going to arrive at 9:00. And they did, ON TIME!Art was a very polished professional Jesus was a trainee and very professional too. While Art was installing our thermostat, Jesus was cleaning out the coils in our heater and doing some minor routine maintenance. When our thermostat was installed, both Art and Jesus went into our backyard checked over our air conditioner and completely cleaned out our air conditioner. DID I SAY ALL THIS CAME WITH THE THERMOSTAT INSTALLATION?!?! The price for all this was very reasonable and well worth it!THANK YOU NEXGEN!!This is definitely a 5-star plus rating.

Alex was able to fix my problem of not having cool air from my AC.He worked diligently to remedy the problem and I’m very happy with the outcome.I will surely ask for him again when another problem arises…

Service tech came out and did a great job. He was friendly and did his job without any complaints. The pricing was fair and compatible to other companies. The last company I hired didnt even replace the filter. And ripped me off. NEX GEN was professional and completed the job. Will hire again for services

I called the company, Nexgen HVAC & Plumbing, for the second time, and I had great experience both times! They are super professional and fixes exactly whats needs to be fixed!Patrick came over this time and helped us find what was causing our A/C to be not blowing cold air. He found the problem that the A/C was having and fixed it for us within minutes! He was professional and friendly, and I feel lucky to have him check our A/C today.I recommend this company for A/C repairs or any other repairs they do as they are very professional and helpful in every way.

Edgar came to our house within 2 hours of me calling. He was very courteous and instantly knew how to fix it. It gave us such peace of mind to know that they were on their way. I would call them again in a second. I’m extremely happy with the work.

Jose Rodriguez showed up within the appointment time quoted, was very friendly and made my wife and I feel very comfortable. We are senior citizens and he was respectful and put us at ease regarding all COVID 19 protocols.We had a slow moving washing machine drain that backed up into our shower. It proved to be a stubborn clog that took several attempts to clear… Jose did not give up and in the end was successful. He stayed while we did a test load of wash and the spin/drain cycle completed.Though this job took a little longer than expected, the cost remained the same as the originally quoted estimate.We are very pleased with NEXGEN and Jose and would recommend them to anyone.

Our experience with NexGen was amazing. We had a new A/C and Furnace installed and we could not be any happier. We had the furnace relocated from a hallway closet up into our attic which was a huge job for them and a great recommendation. Pablo & Fidel did an incredible job!!! They were so professional, efficient, and even cleaned up afterwards as if it were their own home. We shopped around since this was going to be a big investment for us and we are confident that we made the right decision. We were delighted with our 1st service call by Nexgen. I have significant experience with HVAC and mechanical equipment & maintenance. Our Comfort Technician Marcus Williams was extremely professional, incredibly well trained, knowledgeable and very observant of correct and safe COVID protocols which is very primary to us.As a matter of practice I rarely agree to a maintenance contract, however because of the knowledge, professionalism and care of Mr. Williams I decided to subscribe and go with what appeared to be an excellent program which includes important services which will help prevent failures and offers a priority response in the event of failure during a high heat or extremely cold conditions.This is a 1st rate company who I am excited to have as a reliable & valuable vendor. Jesus did a great job and was able to answer all questions we had. He was very detailed and explained everything to us in a way that we would understand. Overall I would definitely recommend NexGen and will continue using them.

Nexgen answered in person on a Sunday and promptly gave me a 1 hour window appt. Johnny called me when he was in route to my house and came precisely on time. He was polite and professional and explained how my furnace worked. He was very honest about needed future repairs and did not leave without rechecking to make sure problem was resolved. Will call on Nexgen from now on!

We used Nexgen to install our HVAC system in our house, and they were professional, courteous, and punctual then. Since that time, we have called on them to perform maintenance and cleaning a couple of times (as recently as 12/3/21), and we are always treated well. They explain everything that they do, and we still only have good things to say about their work, their value, and their people.

Roger came out to take a look at my wall heater based upon feedback from city inspection. Roger was very thorough and polite. He went over everything in laymans term and provided several options. He was a pleasure.

Had them come out to test for a gas leak. Was told all my gas pipes under my house needed to be replaced without even going under the house to look for the gas leak. Left without reconnecting gas connectors to stove and water heat heater and closing crawl space which wasn’t used.. Unable to perform test to find gas leak. Had no problem telling me I needed all my gas lines under house needed to be replaced but didn’t mention my water heater connector which they disconnected was bad and only wanted to take my money. Would not recommend.

Very good experience working with Patrick (technician). He was on time, polite, knowledgeable about the system and what needs to be done. Explained anything that needed to be done and what his next step was. Looking forward to working with the team for more upcoming HVAC installations / work.

Service was fast, efficient, and cost effective. They replaced my old HVAC heater and air conditioner system in one day. Their install guys were professional and pleasant. I am very happy with the service I received.

My heater died and needed to be replaced. they set me up with a temporary fix so I wouldnt freeze to death. Then they came and installed a new heater. I had lot s of obstacles from the previous company that installer my old heater. Nexgen was able to take care of all those and explain everything before. I would highly recommend!!

I called NexGen last week to schedule an HVAC checkup ASAP as I began noticing a putrid smell throughout my place. Justin & Jesse did a thorough inspection in my basement and found that my coil in the furnace was busted, causing the leak/fumes. They also found some terrible damage in and outside of my condenser. For now I’m only going with their recommendation to replace the entire furnace, along with the coil, now that it’s out of its 10 year warranty. Super thorough inspection and nice guys. Definitely pricier than other companies, but they’re on time and reliable.

Look no further and contact them!AC went out at 90 degrees out over the weekend, and found out my previous air conditioning company went out of business. Googled and yelped, found NexGen, called and registered at 840am, and after a couple simple back and forth confirmations, a technician came out before 3pm the same day. Fabulous!!!!! Adrian is very knowledgeable and professional, and very very nice. He spotted my plumbing issue and connected me with their plumbing service as well. Highly highly recommend to anyone in Arcadia and others if you have NexGen in your areas. Thanks for the fast and fit fix to my problem! Stay open and keep the great business you run forever!

My goal was to have the heating system repaired but it was too old and there were no available parts but I must commend Josh Perales. What a professional, knowledgeable and personable employee you have there. You are very fortunate!

BEWARE! I had a gas leak and found them under listing “Emergency Plumbing Service”.I called them and explained that I had a gas leak and needed someone to come out and identify where it was. Someone came out and did not spend much time, but told me had had done a test on my line and the pressure was not holding.He moved my stove into the middle of the kitchen (never moved it back), barely looked at the spot where the leak occurred and told me that I needed to have my gas lines replaced and he was going to “ make me a deal” and charge for individual lines. There were going to be 4 lines replaced and the cost was going to be $17,400!The line test alone was $566!My HOA president came over and said that there was a chance it would be the responsibility of the HOA…but that their approved vendors would need to review the job to determine whose responsibility it was.The new plumbers came today, quickly determined that it was most likely a quick fix. Turned off the gas line to the fireplace for $165! I called the gas company, they came out and THERE WERE NO ADDITIONAL LEAKS! Would you prefer paying $165 ….or….$17,400!!They even had the nerve to show up while the other plumbers were here and tried to tell me it was MY responsibility to take care of the problem.They took the gas line apart, said they would put it back together and left without doing it “because their manager TOLD THEM NOT TO DO IT”DO NOT WALK…RUN from this unprofessional, aggressive, compant who will try to “sell” you on services you most likely DO NOT NEED….and can get done by a reputable plumbing organization…NOT NEXGEN!!!

David senior HVAC Technician came out to our home to service our mini splits. He was courteous, professional and knew right away what the issue was with our minis. He explained everything in great detail and was very patient with our two doggies. I really appreciated that because it’s hard to have to deal with your pets when service technicians are working in your home. David is a natural with pets. What a PLUS! It is always a good feeling when you as a customer feel like you are being taken care of. That is a great feeling …..

I’ve had an amazing expedience with NexGen. They don’t quote you with outrageous prices for repairs. Very reasonable and affordable. They are also knowledgeable in their field of work. I would recommend them 1000%.

Josh was great and it took another plumber from Nexgen with a camera to clear my drain. I expected a huge cost as it took 3.5 hours but they only charged me their online coupon fee. I will definitely use them again as well as their heating maintenance service next week.

Highly recommend NextGen Arcadia. My air conditioner stopped working on a super hot Saturday. When I called, Eileen managed to send a technician the same day. Justin arrived early, and was quick and efficient, with great customer service. Ill be calling again for my air and plumbing needs!

This was my first time using NexGen HVAC/ Plumbing and I was truly blown away by the great service. The technician (Michael) explained every step he did while he completed the maintenance of my AC/ Heating system. He made the whole experience very simple and I like how he answered every question I had. He really knew what he was talking about. NexGen has been handling all my HVAC and plumbing needs for years. I trust them so much I chose them to install a new HVAC system when my old one called it quits in 2020. They are immediately responsive, ultra-professional, and always do a fantastic job. They have been coming regularly to service the new HVAC system they installed (which I love) and my tankless water heater and water filtration system. If you are looking for great and reliable HVAC and plumbing professionals, you should definitely try them.

Called and scheduled an appointment with the receptionist, informed her of my concern, at which time the receptionist booked an appointment for 7/5/23 and since the company wanted to acquire me as a customer, she would waive the home fee . I waited and then was contacted by the technician who told me the inspection fee could not be waived. No service visit, missed day for nothing. This company is dishonest, unprofessional and not worth my business. Completely dissatisfied.

Thrilled with their fast and efficient service. Called yesterday with an issue and got a next-day appointment (Ivan at the call center was so kind, patient, empathetic, overall just wonderful, and explained complex a/c unit in lay terms so I could understand our options and make an educated decision). Brandon arrived for my appointment right on time and was so meticulous with his work and was clear about what we should do to resolve the HVAC problem with a clear presentation of 8 or 9 options at various price points and explained why prices varied + gave helpful pro/con lists for each option. He also came back same day to finish the job, after leaving to go get more unexpected but needed parts. Will use NexGen moving forward for sure! See you guys in a year for maintenance :)

Our AC went out a few days ago. We called Nexgen to see how fast they could come and it was the next day. Other companies told us there was a 3 day wait! Justin, the technician, was diligent and courteous in how he how dealt with our failing AC. After a thorough check that was done with very specialized tools, he told us the various options we had to tackle the AC problem. We will decide to contract this company as they showed utmost professionalism and patience in trying to help us out. They might not be too affordable but they give more guarantees that other companies will not.

I the owner of this house has never had any physical repiping done to this house and it has been like this for over 50 years and the plumber that came in he made the job that seems so scary and daunting so manageable and easy that within 10 minutes I approved the job its going to cost me $85,000 to do the job but he made it very easy that we qualified for two loans to get the job done and done right cuz he said your previous plumber should have never done what he did because it did not fix the main issue the main issue I have is the street and the actual main line to my toilets anyway I dont know the Plumbers name that came out but he was very kind very honest and very realistic with what were dealing with did not sugar coat anything and he said look I used to work with the previous plumber you use and yes they do charge a number a lot for things but I dont make up stuff and Im not a salesman here trying to sell you something Im just telling you look this is the reality and this is what its going to cost either way I felt very comfortable with him and now my house will be done right for the first time in over 50 years Ill have perfect toilet sewer lines that go to the street and I wont have to worry anymore so Im grateful for this company that they made it manageable for me to get it all done even if I chose to not do the street as well it was still more manageable than the previous plumber I was going to use anyway I give your company at 10 out of 10 plus everything I liked about what he said his mannerism and his courteousness and honesty so it will be done right and not keep doing small mini jobs Im grateful for this company so I can have a working function house with two good toilets

I used to work for an HVAC manufacturer and everything they said was honest and transparent and really had a goal of informing the customer so that one can make the best decision suited for them.Although I wasnt able to make a complete decision today,the team was super welcoming and wanted to make sure I knew what every option entailed. Decades of experience with a customer-centric team really shows with this company and when they said they have 5+ installs a day every day of the week, Im not surprised and dont doubt this understatement. I made appointment was to replace kitchen faucet. The technician Andres called 30 mint before the scheduled time, and arrived on time.He was professional and friendly, quickly did the job. He then offer a quick inspection, and noticed the pressure release pipe is causing some damage on the side of the water heater. He told me a gas shut off valve is recommended. He offered 790 total for both devices and done fairly quickly. Very courteous.

Winter is approaching the weather getting colder and my heating system is down so I needed service fast. I called Nexgen and they sent a service tech right away within hours. The service tech Eddie was cordial and professional. He found the problem the moment he arrived then did an inspection of the system to ensure that everything was working properly. Eddie also advised on upgrading to a smart thermostat and possible allergy symptoms from the forced air heating. I would definitely call for service again.

It is so nice to have an operational heating system during these cold winter months. The new NexGen heater and air conditioner meet California standards and are energy efficient. The installation crew - Jose, Brian and Angel, did excellent work. They made sure the new units worked properly and explained all their improvements. The crew wore masks and hauled away all the old heater and AC components. We are very pleased. Thank you!

Josh Perales (Comfort Tech) and Ryan Cortes (Project Manager) we’re on site for my service call. Both Josh and Ryan were very friendly and very informative with the condition of my existing Central AC. Gave me all my options and because of their knowledge and great customer service, I decided to upgrade my entire central AC and Heating system. They were able to get me on a schedule to get the install done next day.

Called in too get our heater fixed, Johnny came out even sooner than expected, he was very personable & professional! He went above & beyond to make sure our heating system was back up and running that same day! I would highly recommend this company and Johnny as the rep to come out to your home!
