We contracted with Alpha Structural a couple of years ago to design, engineer, and construct a much needed hillside retaining wall along our back property line. I score the multiple aspects of the entire project OUTSTANDING. We were kept in the loop regarding what was going to happen each week by Erik Puac, who was available 24/7. Importantly, the Alpha Structural engineers were flexible to making major changes that seemed logical and important as the project proceeded. We were very thankful for that - the final product - a retaining was with a cantilevered ramp - is beautiful and functional and a gift to the neighbors (no more sandbags).The Alpha Structural crews were also OUTSTANDING! We were impressed by how they enjoyed working as a team, how they worked energetically on the most difficult of tasks, communicating with each other and sub-contractors. They exhibited high level skills, leadership and problem solving genius. They got the jobs done in a very timely manner. Specifically, a HUGE thank you to: Project managers Gilberto and Gabriel as well as crew members Jose Eddy Gustavo and Carlos.

Brad did an assessment of our foundation. He was very thorough and honest. I appreciate the honesty since a lot of companies make a big deal out of things to charge you for services you may not need.

Daniel was amazing today I had great information and stories relating to the retro fitting of houses. 2020 June:Excellent experience again with Alpha Structural.Charlie Rosenkranz came to see the 3-story apartment building in West Hollywood. We discussed what the soft story retrofit plans will likely include. Hes knowledgeable and experienced. We appreciated his professional no-pressure approach and answering our questions.Alpha performed an exploratory investigation of the support structure, as architectural plans were not available. They engineered the plans with city approval. They then consulted with us and provided the approved THP (Tenant Habitability Plan) paperwork.Production Manager Dave Schlaich and Job Supervisor Seth Price met me before construction. Dave went over the approved plans and explained the work that would be performed, and the purpose. They both answered all my questions.Lawrence and Antonio were the main work team. They were very pleasant and answered all our questions. Both had great explanations with Lawrence being very detailed. Seth provided timely progress reports by phone and text. He answered all questions, and provided contacts for automatic shut-off gas valves and stucco work.Despite Covid-19, they scheduled and passed inspections, and completed the work in under a month. Weve seen projects by other companies stuck in limbo for months with no progress, so we chose Alpha to avoid complications.They removed all debris, and left the property clean. The tenants and neighbors had no complaints.Daniel Aparicio also explained various issues.Communication with everyone, including the office staff, was excellent.Were very pleased with this experience.Work done included Soft Story Seismic Retrofit: install a concrete grade beam in the parking area with a double cantilevered column moment structure and shear transfer, and also “crawl space” retrofit including bolting, and installing shear plywood boards and floor system tie downs on the perimeter walls.2018 Dec:We had excellent experience with Alpha Structural.Charlie Rosenkranz came to see the property and advice. He checked the structures all around and looked in the basement as far as possible beyond the ducts that were filling up the space and would require tunneling to get to some areas under the building. Communication was excellent. Hes knowledgeable and experienced. We appreciated his professional no pressure approach and answering our questions.The front main duplex needed Seismic Retrofit; it wasnt bolted and had cripple walls. There were suspect areas in the foundations that would have to be tested when bolting, to see if the concrete is in good shape.After we agreed to their proposal have the work done we scheduled a range date. They had to submit to the city plans for a permit to do the work and wait for the permit to be issued.While doing the retrofit we found out that the foundation in the front corner was damaged and that the building has sunken and was not level at that corner.Charlie worked out the details and bid for the additional work of Partial Foundation Replacement, Posts/piers, and Jack Lift the corner to level it. He explained the details and whats involved to my satisfaction.Alpha obtained the permit for the work and proceeded.The work crew did excellent work. Jose Morales was the Project Supervisor. They completed the work at a good pace, including the delay for the additional work permit, without complications or complaints from the neighbors. The place was left clean.The work was approved in the inspection which they requested and scheduled with the city.The communication with everyone at the office was also very good.Were very pleased with the experience.

You can always tell what experience you’re going to have with a company by the people they send to you the first time. Alpha is a good fit for us. I’ll be sure to update my assessment but so far so good. They are who they say they are. I like that.

Damien did a great job. Very informative and knows the business very well and the players involved in the South Bay area. Since he’s native to the area he has insight into the history of how the beach cities area was developed.

We had major damage after the last storm our backyard hill and tree came down in a mudslide. We consulted a few people but Aaron Clitheroe cam I up not only with the best advice and his knowledge convinced us that Alpha Structural was our choice.His team lead by Ernesto and the work men performed an excellent job in a timely matter and for the budget we had approved.The team arrived daily on time works very hard and always with a smile.We are extremely happy and would recommend them highlyThanks again

We had a great experience with Alpha Structural, from the initial survey, to ongoing communication throughout the project, to the experience with the workers on-site. Erick, Gilberto, Jose and Esteban were all great. They did the job quicker than expected, with minimal disruption, and were really happy with the results! I highly recommend Alpha Structural as we just had a foundation repair on our 1950s valley ranch house that had damage due to settling. The remediation included underpinning pads, crack repair and the installation of a concrete apron with drains to protect the house going forward. The crew chief BARTOLO and his crew including DIEGO and MIGUEL showed the highest level of professionalism and diligence in their work. We represent Vision Christian Fellowship, that owns a school facility for an international school, pre-K through 5th grade. Our school building was a soft-story building which needed strengthening in case of a strong earthquake. Since it is difficult, these days, to get a complete history about contractors and engineers, we were within 1 more check of hiring a contractor that had been found by the CA Atty General to not know the laws of physics for the work he had performed on a previous job. The engineer blamed the contractor, and we knew we needed a company where both engineer and contractor were communicating in the same company. We were thankful to call Alpha Structural which had did engineering and contracting under one roof, just as we needed. Evan, Elmer and Daniel Hernandez and team helped us make up for lost time while providing great quality of work, caring customer service, and going above and beyond anything we could have hoped. They were able to meet almost impossible time constraints, for a school which hoped to open on time. Whether it was the school start day, school Thanksgiving and Christmas, even the Rose Parade’s additional time constraints to finish a day earlier than the parade – Alpha’s team for Vision Christian Fellowship hit the bullseye every time. They not only designed and built a retrofit that we could see was far superior than the one done on another of our buildings, but they surrounded the work and our church with a team which made us feel assured, hopeful, and covered by a strong building around the children. Daniel Hernandez, led by his managers and VPs were friendly, but focused with the on defeating Goliath’s blocking our project. It is nothing short of a miracle that we went from an engineer, whose substandard work could have threatened children’s lives, to this excellent company, Alpha Structural, which provided one of the most qualified engineers in the County, along with a team that worked the plans into reality with excellence. We contacted Alpha Structural to detect the source of water intrusion into our newly installed wood flooring which had only been installed a few months prior. Ken Crown, Structural Assessor, was assigned to our project. We are so incredibly impressed with Kens knowledge, professionalism and responsiveness. Ken took great care to thoroughly inspect the situation, ensure all of our questions were answered, that we understood how our slab should have been prepared for the new flooring prior to installation and that we knew precisely how to proceed in order to remediate the situation. I had Alpha Structural do an earthquake retrofit on my house earlier this year. I had been approved by the EBB Brace & Bolt program for a grant rebate. From the first contact to the last Alpha Structural was a high quality group with professionals at every level. They took care of all the interactions with the state in relation to what they required, and AS kept me informed and up to date on the process. Once it came time to do the work, they were efficient and clean. The City of Glendale was impressed and so was a third party inspector the state sent by to check on the quality of the work. I have peace of mind that my house is in the best shape it can be to withstand the next inevitable earthquake. I would recommend Alpha Structural to anyone requiring work in their area of expertise.

Alpha knocked it out of the park for us! We needed a seismic retrofit on a soft story building in West Hollywood. Brad came out to take a look and give me an idea of what the job would entail, along with a preliminary estimate. Hes a very easy going guy and couldnt have been more pleasant to deal with, clearly answering all of my questions and putting my mind at ease. The work itself was done on time, actually quicker than we thought, neatly, efficiently, safely, and with no budget surprises. Chris was our job manager. I contacted Alpha Structural to have the foundation inspected of my SFR built in 1955. The entire process from inspection, receipt of proposal & contract (Albert B.), obtain permits, complete seismic retrofit (Juan T. - Project Supervisor and crew Jeremiah, Pedro and Julio), to being there when the City signed off the permits (Ally R.) was seamless.The project took two days. The crew worked efficiently and always left the work site clean. Highly recommend Alpha Structural for seismic retro-fit.

I worked with Aaron and Ernesto at Alpha Structural and had a great experience. Aaron did a free assessment and was very upfront about what was and wasnt necessary. Their quote was the perfect balance between including all the necessary foundation work and not being so extremely expensive. I used their services for some foundation work on my sunroom, and Ernesto supervised a team that did a great job very quickly. Ernesto walked me through the work after completion, noticed something was missing, and had someone come fix it right away.

Brad was very professional and quite easy to talk. I felt that he was truly taking my concerns into consideration.

We had very substantial foundation repairs as well as earthquake retrofitting and retaining walls added. Everything was on time and done extremely well. Michael Reed was our foreman and Chris Olson headed the project. Both were great. Michael really knocked it out on schedule and left the property in good condition. We couldn’t be happier with the foundation replacement Alpha completed for us! When we purchased our 93-year-old house, we weren’t certain that it would ever be possible to level the uneven floors and replace the whole foundation successfully, but Alpha made it look easy. Kyle immediately identified the source of our problem when he first came to inspect the house. A very special thank you to the foreman, Elias, whose hard work, diligence and incredible skill ensured that our complex project ran smoothly! He was dedicated to finishing our structural repairs as quickly as possible without sacrificing quality, so we felt like our house was in capable hands. Steve and Mario did a fantastic job overseeing the leveling and pouring of the foundation. They didn’t rest until we were 100% satisfied, which was so appreciated. Alpha Structural is a great company to hire. After a few other estimates from different companies. I knew Alpha was it. The quality of work that they provided and the cleanliness during and after the job was done, VERY PROFESSIONAL. The group of guys they sent out to the job (John, David, Luis) were really helpful explaining the process of the work they were doing. Great chemistry these guys have working together. Also, Felipe the supervisor always kept me informed of everything that was going on. I would hire Alpha again and definitely recommend this company to anyone looking to do foundation work. We purchase a 100 yr old house that needed some reinforcement of the foundation. Alpha was recommended to us from a few sources. Met with Carlos in sales. He worked with us to find the happy medium of getting as much work done that was within our budget.The week of construction; Adolfo, alfredo, Ernesto and the entire team did am amazing, professional job. They went above and beyond what we discussed. They finished the job with minimal side effects to the building. They supplied photos of the work completed. Supervisors and staff - very good. Actual workers doing the process are really great, knowledgeable and efficient! I am writing this review as Antonio and Alcjando did a fantastic job and did not mind me asking questions and checking out their work as my project progressed. Overall, we are glad we did this work as we live in area with potential huge earthquakes.

Erinn came by to take a look at our house’s foundation and provide advice. He was friendly and accessible with a perspective that came from a homeowner (and not someone employed in foundation repair). His advice felt unbiased and was very helpful as my wife and I evaluated options.

I used Alpha Structural for a foundation retrofit that was part of the California Earthquake Brace + Bolt (EBB) program. The company seems to be very well run and they are very experienced in complex foundation work. My project was straightforward and nothing hard, but my experience on each part (initial bid, scheduling, the 2 days the actual work was done, handling all the paperwork required by the EBB program) was quite positive. I have especially high praise for the office staff, Courtney in particular. She is always on the ball and courteous. I communicated with her on numerous occasions because of months-long delays my city had issuing permits. In fact, I think the difficulties with the city permit backlog made me especially appreciative of Alpha Structurals professionalism and customer care.

My family had the great pleasure of working with Alpha Structural to earthquake retrofit our 1938 home, and had a wonderful experience! Rejean first inspected our home, and was prompt, friendly, and clear in his recommendations. Genesis helped to schedule the appointment, and was detailed and kind. Seth, Armando and Julio did the work, and were very friendly to work with, explained everything clearly, answered all questions, were always on time, and got the job done in the exact time that they had originally quoted. We had a fantastic overall experience with the entire team, and are very grateful for their hard work!

We were VERY happy with the work done at our house in Silverlake by Alpha Structural.It was a tough job because the access underneath the house was really narrow, and Moises, Sebastian and Enrique did an amazing job, keeping the smile despite the difficulty.I was able to go check their work and it looked great, they also kept the place clean and organized during the job.From first estimates bu Richard Sullivan to the actual job, under the supervision of Elmer, I have nothing but good things to say; couldnt recommend to work with ALPHA STRUCTURAL enough!

Juan, Aurelio, and Anacleto with Elmer as the foreman have just completed retrofitting my 57 year old house. What an efficient process it has been starting with the bid by Jim Douglass. The crew cleaned up after themselves and my yard and garage looks better than before they started. It had rained recently and they were under my house with lots of clay mud. I would highly recommend this company for any structural needs.

When I noticed some cracks on the smooth stucco of the exterior wall of my house, I scheduled a free consultation with Alpha. Assuming I would not get an honest assessment and estimate, I hired a structural engineer to inspect my house beforehand. Then Mr. Erinn Rusnak came for the free estimate. After a very thorough inspection, he surprised me by saying that there was no reason to panic because there was no need to do any work to the foundation. I went on to make inquiries about waterproofing my garage, he said it was not necessary but he would give me a proposal anyway. Within a week, I received a very professional proposal from Mr. Erinn Rusnak. I am extremely impressed with the expertise and integrity he has demonstrated. I am also ashamed of myself for not trusting them at the beginning. Although i’ve decided not to do the garage at the moment, I will definitely consider the company for my future foundation repair needs.

I have a hillside home and I had some drainage concerns. Kyle Tourje was my structural assessor. He is truly a tremendous wealth of knowledge. He is super smart. I felt like he was very sincere in trying to help me, not out to rip me off (like a lot of other companies try to do). For any structural, foundation, or drainage issues, I would only use Alpha Structural. These are not issues you want to mess around with. You need knowledgeable competent and honest people to work with.

I just purchased a home and we noticed there was a slight slump in the living room. We called Alpha Structural to come out and fix it. In the middle of the project they discovered a lot more significant work that needed to be done and got right to it without upcharging me at all. The foreman then took time to walk me around the house and educate me on foundation maintenance. Everyone Ive interacted with has been friendly and helpful. I will definitely use them again when I have other work to do.

We have a strange leak in our basement that recurs every time it rains. To figure out the potential source, we called Alpha Structural, and the entire team was outstanding from the get-go. Lisa Hunter first took a detailed account of and keen interest in our situation, and then Gary Coffing came to inspect our house.Gary possesses an incredible wealth of knowledge about foundation and structural integrity, and gave us a very fair assessment of what might be happening, and what we could and should try first. Rather than make a hard sell to engage Alpha in a major investigation, he suggested we first try a few simpler solutions, including fixing the grading of our soil leading to the basement as well as our gutters. Perhaps this wont work and perhaps it will, but the point is he gave us a full account of what may be happening and a number of specific things to try before pulling the trigger on a major structural ordeal.A HUGE thank you to Gary and the whole team. We hope it doesnt come to it, but if we do need to go down the route of major structural work, we will absolutely call you again.

The assessor that came to our house told us he had a simpler more cost effective solution than another engineer posed. We were shocked when we received the bid. It was three times the price we received from contractors on the original plan--and a lot more work involved. We contacted the assessor and he didnt respond.

Alpha Structural came out and inspected my foundation. The assessor was honest and informative, explaining in detail the assessment of my foundation . I appreciated his honesty and straightforwardness and find Alpha Structural to be a trustworthy company.

David Park from Alpha Structural did an excellent job examining drainage, foundation and an underground bomb shelter at a property we have in escrow. He was on time, efficient and thorough, with good explanations for the clients

Aaron came out, was on time, presented himself very well, very knowledgeable and very good about explaining possible solutions to repair our foundation problem.

I used these guys to inspect a hillside home in the Hollywood hills. THe selling agent was confident there were no issues. Alpha came out, and found a way under the house that only a ferret could fit through. They found sewer pipe leaks, rotton foundation members, and shifting settlment problems. They found all these issues and proposed ways to fix them.These guys are pros, and if you are considering a hillside home you should call them. I highly reccomend them.

Best construction experience ever! Project was for foundation improvement in basement, upgrade of earthquake retrofitting, and associated work for an exterior section.A smooth process from initial consultation and contracting (with Dan), project initiation and sequence, and completion. A very professional and responsive team from supervisor (Ernesto), crew (Julio, Salvador, Marc), and quality control supervisor (Juan) plus the very pleasant and efficient office support staff (my primary contact was Natalie).The crew was consistently on time as assigned, worked diligently, and were very respectful of resident and property, ensuring it was safe and in order at days end.Everyone was receptive and responsive to questions about the scope, sequence, and details when asked.The results were great and I recommend and definitely would hire Alpha Structural again when a need presents.

We hired Alpha to initially repair & support a structural beam that had started to crack in the basement of our 47 unit apartment building in Long Beach (7/21). They were the only contractor we received estimates from that could do both the repair and in-house engineering. They did an incredible job on our building, from the estimate to permitting to completion! Brad Nester later found additional damage (we requested further inspection) that was able to be added to the current job, thereby shortening the time having to deal with the city a second time (initial permit took 6 mos to obtain!)Special shout out to Steve & Lawrence, supervisors on the job, who met with us and kept us informed of any updates, as well as providing us with after pictures. And a special thank you to the actual crew, Thomas & Chino, who had to work in a crawlspace of about 2-3, in not-so-ideal conditions!!!Thank you Alpha!

Alpha did an amazing job for my mom’s house! From the initial assessment process to completion of the project, they were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They were willing to answer ALL of my questions and made my family feel like they were in good hands. They also gave us an idea of how long the work would take, and they completed everything on time as promised. I would gladly recommend them to others.

The Alpha team-- Juve, Luis and Cruz-, with suprevisor Chris-- were very careful, and incredibly effective in solving our foundtion issues, by adding a sister foundation, and more. We are very pleased. All the squeaks are gone. Even the basement looks great. When we had questions or issues, they were patient, and solved them quickly and well. A great team. I can recommend Alpha, but this team in particular: fast, no scxrimping on materials, and clearly good craftsmen.

What a well run operation! Inspector Dan determined what had to be done to correct our foundation problem which had required significant mold remediation. The next Monday supervisor Chris explained what his team would be doing. Right on schedule the dumpster and porta potty arrived, Chriss three man team completed the structural work, the cement and pumper truck showed up, and the team assisted by a concrete finisher installed the concrete. Aside from noise and dust related to removal of alot of concrete, and the smell of two layers of waterproofing membrane, it was a pleasure having the team of Michael, Jonathan, and Tella here for five days. My wife and I really appreciate the great job they did. Like with us, you might have to wait a few weeks for the Alpha inspector to come out, but know that the work will start soon after that and know that your foundation issue will be resolved.Revision:Water coming in again. Even more than before.Dehumidifier running each time it rains to dry things out.Not a happy camper.

Alpha is the best! My wife and I are looking to buy a house in Los Angeles and needed a reliable foundation assessment, and Alpha Structural came out to do a home inspection and check the foundation. The inspector was awesome! He made the whole process totally stress-free, he was very knowledgeable and made my wife and I feel comfortable while talking about an area we didnt know much about. From the beginning to the end, I have been very impressed with the professionalism and courtesy of Alpha Structural employees. Price was fixed and hassle-free. Internal inspections ensured quality of work. The on-site workers and supervisor were very responsive. While they do their job with integrity and professionalism, it is important to follow closely to ensure you understand their work and ask questions. At times they accommodated work that was not in their scope, but necessary for the structural integrity. Overall, it was a pleasure to have had their service to a difficult project we had for a hybrid raised and slab foundation.

We recently had Alpha Structural perform seismic retrofitting and floor leveling in our home. The workers were absolutely fantastic - they were diligent, courteous, and kept the work area clean throughout the process. The seismic retrofitting was thorough and we can feel and see a significant improvement in floor’s sturdiness with the earthquake bracing of our home. The floor leveling was done as best as possible for a house thats 113 years old, and we were informed that there may be some cracking in the walls as a result. However, we understand that this can be a common occurrence in these types of projects and it was not unexpected.Alpha Structural also arranged a porta potty for the workers, which we thought was a nice touch. Every detail was attended to, and the final results were excellent. We appreciate their attention to detail and the care they took in ensuring that our home is safer and more stable for years to come.However, we did encounter some issues with the admin side of the company. Initially, we paid with a credit card without issue. Granted they were smaller payments, but when it came time to pay the larger sums for the project we were informed that credit card payments would not be accepted unless we paid an additional fee. The contract made no mention of cash-only payments, and we were not informed upfront that there would be a fee to use a credit card. After several phone calls, Alpha Structural eventually allowed us to pay with a credit card for the larger invoice, but we had to pay a fee to cover their charges. We found this lack of transparency around payment options to be frustrating, and the experience left us feeling uneasy.We also had issues with the scope of work, which caused us to have to do some back and forth with the admin side of the company. Specifically, the estimator did not adequately scope the job on the quote, which resulted in us paying for an additional day and the team having to come back for another day for an oversight of scope (2 additional days). We recommend that anyone using Alpha Structural go over the work order thoroughly before work begins to ensure that everyone is on the same page regarding payment method, and whether the scope of work covers your expectations.Overall, however, the work that was completed was done with a tremendously high level of quality. Not once did we encounter an issue with the team doing the actual work.

I recently hired Alpha Structural to do foundation repair on our hillside house in Hollywood while in escrow. They were fantastic and professional every step of the way. I came to them while with a time crunch asking them to fix the foundation ASAP so I could close escrow. They did everything they could to get my plans completed and submitted to the city for approval ASAP, so they could start on my project. If it wasnt for the city being so slow on their end, the project could have been completed much faster. Kyle (Senior Assessor) was extremely knowledgeable and very professional. He answered all my questions and told me exactly what we needed to make the foundation last for a lifetime. Memo and Elmer (project managers) and did an awesome job keeping everything on time and according to schedule. Their team worked hard and efficiently. They even worked on a Saturday to make sure they were prepared for city inspection on a Monday. I put a lot of pressure on them to get the job done and they were definitely up to the task. After the job was complete, they were able to get us all the documents and reports the bank required to have us close escrow on time!If you have any home that has foundation issues, there is no better place to go than Alpha Structural!

Requested estimates from Alpha Structural and from the beginning, the admin to Carlos who came out to the house was fantastic. Communication was great, arrived on time on the dot, and provided awesome recommendations and suggestions. By the far the best structural place I’ve contacted. Will continue to use them if any other issues in the future!

We called Alpha Structural to assess a failing block wall in our backyard, which is on a hill, along with a couple of cracks in our upstairs bedroom walls. Alpha Structural assessor, Aaron C. was on time to the appointment. He walked the yard with us, and pointed out some things, that after talking with him, were evident. Bottom line, the wall we thought was a retaining wall was not, and the actual retaining wall, is further down the hill and is in good shape, phew! He also made some suggestions regarding a big tree compromising the actual retaining wall, which we will need to address. The second item he assessed was the cracks in the bedrooms, after figuring out and explaining the issue, we arranged to install a beam in our garage (under the bedrooms) to stabilize the structural beam below the bedrooms. Felicia called me to schedule the work, as she stated, the Foreman, and his crew (Julio and another gentlemen) called me before arriving, they arrived on time, and ready to go. Ernesto was very informative about how the day was going to work out, there was some question of how the beam would fit, but we worked through that, and Ernesto kept me updated through the process. Julio and partner got to work. The noise was not too bad, and they cleaned up after the work was done, they took all the dirt they dug up for the footing and left the area clean. The crew was very polite, and respectful of our home. That goes a long way with me and my wife.We definitely would call on Alpha Structural again, if needed, and also highly recommend them.Thank you, Ernesto, Julio and team!

I contracted Alpha Structural to do a partial foundation replacement of my hillside property in LA. They were very responsive at the beginning in making me feel that they were the right company for the job. Their work reputation seemed good and I felt comfortable with the lead contact, Aaron, when he explained the care and detail the company applied to their work. They pointed out that plumbing had to be moved and recommended a company, Hector Gomez Construction, with whom they would coordinate to do that work. During the first part of the job, they would notify me only the day before or sometimes the morning of that they would shut off the water and/or electricity to the property in order to do their work. This proved a severe inconvenience that could have been handled much more responsibly with better planning and communication on their part. When the excavation phase began, they ripped the sewer line, causing damage and cleanup fees to be added to the budget. LA Housing then shut down the project for a few weeks because no permits had been pulled for the plumbing work, causing me to have to be in touch with the city weekly in order to coordinate inspectors visits and paperwork. Halfway through the work, the doors in the house became inoperable. Interior doors would not close and exterior doors were hard to budge or stuck shut altogether. I notified them of this safety issue, to which they said they would respond to, but took weeks of reminding before they did anything about it. Towards the end of the work, their foundation adjustments caused over $6k damage to the interior of the building including a tile floor replacement, cracking grout in the shower, and large gaps between the windows and the walls. I told them my concerns and they said they would work with me to find a solution. They sent a contractor to fix these issues. When I asked repeatedly about how we could agree on payment, they told me they were not responsible for damage to the property. This was an element in the contract that when I asked about at the beginning was downplayed. If I had any idea they would cause such extensive structural damage and not pay for it, I would never have hired them. They will fix your foundation, but at great cost and inconvenience.

I am a tenant in apartment complex, and when the landlord notify me we will be under construction for a while. I went ugh. We still are in the construction phase, but I need to comment on their workers. First they wore their mask and wearing their mask at all time. They are very polite, from management to hourly workers. What I love the most about them, when they leave their job site, it is spotless. No nails no dirt. We can drive in and not worry about getting a flat tire. Great Job Guys.

Alpha has done a beautiful job on our building. They did a seismic retrofit which looks great, finishing the job in the projected timeline. On the other side of the building, we had a 5 inch building slope which looked terrible from the exterior. They brought this to an even level and reinforced the structural issues that were causing the deterioration. Manny and his team have been hard working and communicative throughout the project. And have made extra efforts to help out our residents with other extra issues that popped up during the project. I love out in Florida so they didn’t get to do any work for me but after encountering a water leak issue and a ton of wood rot on an exterior wall of mine I went on Instagram and searched for contractors to get advice since I can’t afford to hire a company. They responded right away and were still helpful even though they knew I was from out of town. It shows they aren’t just looking for money but they honestly care about their customers. Because of this I strongly recommend them!

Absolutely exceptional! I work in real estate and we needed a foundation inspection on REALLY short turnaround for one of our clients. First, I will say that they are incredibly professional, detailed and do their jobs well, but what really makes me say they are exceptional is how helpful they were. Lisa, their Director of Customer Service, pays a HUGE service to both her title and the company. She accomplished the impossible, juggled schedules and managed to send an inspector out for the following day. No other company even tried and the earliest they gave us for an appointment was 2+ weeks out. The inspector was prompt, knowledgeable, professional and provided the report back quickly. I cannot say enough how fabulous this company was to work with and they will be first on the list I provide to any clients moving forward and the only company I use when the option is left to me for structural inspections and service.

Very good to work with; devised a sound solution for forming and pouring sister walls under our foundation-less 1908 two-story and bolting the house to them. It was not cheap, but the final tab was about half what a Pasadena company had quoted over ten years ago! Worked with us (and still are!) to satisfy the requirements of the Earthquake Brace and Bolt program. All good people, from the supervisors to the guys digging under the house.

Brad with Alpha Structural has been incredible and so helpful. We have a drainage issue at our guest house that he has consulted on several times. We hired Alpha Structural to conduct a physical inspection of a house we were purchasing. The first inspection was not as thorough as we expected. However, Mercedes at Alpha rectified this immediately. She sent out Mark S., VP of Engineering, who conducted a thorough, but understandable and reassuring, site inspection. Alpha Structural clearly is an expert in their field and is also very customer focused. These guys are hardworking and honest. We needed the concrete wall in our backyard redone because it started to crack and fall over. When the contractor came out for an estimate he promised that he could get the walls done in a week so we moved forward with them. I had Mr Brad Nestler come by to check my property which is in an historical protected area.I was amazed at how professional he was!I even thought he was an architect as he was so well versed and competent in all the aspects and steps of his observation and inspection.He never used any confusing technical terms. He always spoke simple understandable language while showing me the items needing improvement. He then even pulled out the drawing of a plan so I could better understand what was really needed.All of this was done in a very calm and safe way. My experience with the company has been a 10/10.I intrusted Alpha with a Seismic Retrofit on my mother’s house and the process was a dream. Antonio & Lawrence were kind, neat & professional. I would recommend Alpha Structural 100 is times over.

I really have too many wonderful things to say about these guys.First off, they were ridiculously honest for upfront about everything. Their bid options were very reasonable and were right in line with other bids we received.Second, when it came time to do the work, not only did they finish faster than what they originally quoted, but they also worked on our back yard to move soil around to help make the work look hidden, which was a big help.Lastly, their staff is amazingly nice. I need to give special recognition to Douglas Alderete who did the original bid as well as assisted us after the project completion as well. I also need to thank Steve who oversaw the project as he too went out of his way to help us.I would definitely recommend them to anyone and will absolutely be using them in the future if we ever need more foundation work done.

I was searching for a foundation expert in my area. I filled out some information and was contacted by Alpha Structural. The representative that contacted me was extremely rude. Furthermore, when I told the representative something she didnt like, she hung up on me! I have never had a representative actually hang up on me. I am in shock. Horrible customer services!

The men we had working on our home were courteous and respectful of our space... and they never left a mess behind. We were extremely impressed from our initial meeting until our final walkthrough! I hired Alpha Structural to do a Soft-Story Retrofit on my apartment building in Playa Del Rey and i am glad that I did, I had several other companies that gave me a proposal but after doing my research I went with Alpha Structural. they are experts at what they do and they have a very professional & reliable team. I would like to thank Rejean who was the first person who came out and explained the whole process to me and gave me a very competitive proposal, Marcus whos knowledge is incredible, Juvencio who was hands on the job and is a craftsman at his trade and was super nice to my tenants and kept the job sit extremely clean, Evan the person who did a ton of follow up and constantly communicated with me on every step of the job and his patience and professionalism is beyond expectation.

I hired this contractor to fix several cracks in our apartment, in the walls and the ceiling, and I was a little worried because of the size of these but fortunately they are really good at it and fixed the problem. I really liked their service and prices, that’s why recommend this company.

I had a big drainage problem in my house and we hired Alpha Structural, the people from this company fixed it, they seemed to be very knowledgeable and did such a good job.

Steve Ferguson was really responsive and did what he said he would do. Charlie Rosenkranz however is not to be trusted. We used Alpha and the work was performed as promised. However, Mr. Rosenkranz wrote two separate proposals for our property to address foundation restoration and additional structural engineering that was definitely needed to address settlement. In neither proposal did he ever recommend in writing that we retrofit while we were doing the other work. When we subsequently decided to sell our building to buy a bigger property, Mr. Rosenkranz was hired by the prospective buyers to discuss the work which Alpha had accomplished and to discuss why we the owners had not retrofitted the building while doing the costly 56k restoration work. Instead of coping to the fact that he had twice failed to recommend this either verbally or in a written proposal, he told the prospective buyers that we should have done the work and that he recommended they spend an additional 20-25k to do the work we had not done. Needless to say, he cost us the sale by trying to claw more money out of the property and by omitting that he was responsible for the retrofitting never getting done.Good at what they do, but questionable ethical standards.
