So I initially called to just get a freon recharge. Theyre pretty close to my residence and they were able to squeeze me in right away. John arrived and ended up inspecting our HVAC system (for no additional charge) and found that the capacitor for the fan system was about on its way out. Our system is 20-30+ years old and were just hoping that itll hop along long enough until were ready to replace the whole thing. He wasnt pushy about replacing it, just stated what it was performing at and what the typical tolerance was. I elected to replace it and with the older style refrigerant I knew the recharge could be $150-400. They had a flat fee for the recharge, which I also appreciated as it saved me a little. When he left, it was working great.The next day the unit stopped blowing cold air. The lines felt warm, and I was really hoping that maybe some of the freon lines didnt get closed all the way and just slowly leaked. I called back a the end of the business day, and John still came back kinda after normal business hours.It could have been really easy for him to blame something else, or claimed something cracked, or that the compressor unit went out. Instead we got service with integrity, and John made things right for us and put in a new charge and made sure everything was sealed up properly. Mistakes happen, but Ill happily choose to give my business to those that handle mistakes well.Service like this with integrity is why well going to be using Choice Home Services when its time to replace our system. Couldnt be happier with their business.

Clear Choice were the consummate professionals. They replaced my forced air heater in one afternoon. Aaron expertly sized up the job and was it was organized kaos after that. Took care of the surroundings and obviously had everything under control. John came by to check on the quality control and help wrap up the install. Took a very special interaction for me to sit down and write this.From the moment contacted the feeling was that “me and my situation” mattered. My airconditioner had died!My call was answered by a live body and the call was completed without being put upon hold and at no time did it feel rushed. Was able to share the issue and told that they could and would handle it. Given a short two hour window and was pleasantly surprised upon receiving a call saying they would arrive within fifteen minutes of the second hour, timely yes, score!The son, John, came out on my service call. Though this was not known initially, it was an absolute pleasure to see a young man with what appeared to be a fresh haircut (it was a mid week appointment), clean shaven, clean uniform, pants up around his waist and clean boots! Score again!He entered my home and placed booties on over his shoes which was not necessary though appreciated. He then began to go through his checklist and within thirty minutes my unit was back up and running after being resuscitated. It was a simple fix and the bill for services rendered quite bearable, THANK HEAVEN :-)As we were finishing up I asked the question “How long have you been with the company?” He politely answered it is a family business and he is the son, offered him a cool drink to which he declined and was off to his next call. John was amazing. He came over the same day my heating stopped working, 6 PM on Friday night!Turn out there was nothing wrong with my furnace except the flame sensor was dirty. He cleaned it up in 5 minutes, completely fixed the problem and we talked about history for the rest of the time. What a nice guy!Other people could’ve said I had to replace the entire heater and charged me thousands of dollars. I was already budgeting for $1k and instead I paid only $50. Client for life.

They helped install mini split AC and Tesla charger. The quality of their work was top notch. The team was very professional and communication was excellent. They answered all of the questions in detail. Cherry on top - they cleaned up after themselves. I would definitely recommend them and reach out in future when needed.

Had a problem with my A/C and heater not working. John came out the next day, diagnosed the problem and fixed it quickly. The unit was still within the warranty period from the manufacturer, which he took care of getting the necessary parts. The amount paid for the work was very fair.

From consultation to the day of installation of a new AC SYSTEM for my house, John the owner has been there for entire process . We live in an area that requires additional city inspection and he diligently took care of that too until completion. He personally came to the final inspection to ensure everything was a success. The owner John, is extremely knowledgeable. When he came to me; I provided what was needed for our family. He accommodated with the extreme knowledge along with following through. Great service

Like the name says Clear Choice was just that. After several quotes and doing my research Clear Choice was by far the best option for us. We needed a new AC unit and furnace, and found ourselves sticker shocked by the current pricing for what we needed. John with Clear Choice worked hard to get us the best pricing. But pricing isnt everything, and they delivered quality and value at a great price. John took the time to fully explain what we needed and why. He gave us a couple of options to consider but recommended a super efficient variable speed heat pump AC unit. After making the Clear Choice decision, they went way above and beyond providing the little (and big) extras. I must confess Im quite picky about the small details regarding how things (construction finishes) look. Without needing to mention my concerns about ascetics they worked hard to ensure that all of the finishes were done right and looked beautiful. Nice, generous, and kind people. We love our new system and the guys with Clear Choice. Its rare to feel so good about supporting a company these days. I cant recommend them more highly!

Clear Choice is the best choice! John, our technician, was prompt & courteous. He diagnosed & explained the problem, replaced the broken (worn out) part, and cleaned furnace burners of 40 years of debris. In 2 hours he made our ancient furnace as good as new 👍🏻👍🏻. I’m sure many other HVAC companies would have tried to sell us a new system. Clear Choice is a rare find!

It was as the name of their business implies, a Clear Choice for us and our electrical needs. We had two NEMA 14-50 receptacles installed for EV charging, GFCI electrical outlets installed in the house as well as troubleshooting and resolving some electrical issues we have been dealing with from our last contractor. From day one getting an initial estimate to the final completion and follow up of the work, John and his team completed the work with great customer service, excellent communications throughout, thorough workmanship and all at a reasonable price. I would not hesitate to go to him for any future needs and would highly recommend their services.

Clear Choice is super responsive and helpful if you have any HVAC needs. They really try to save you money and get you the help you need without trying to upsell you. John helped me troubleshoot why my blower motor wasnt turning on and causing my Nest thermostat to read a E73 error. Turns out, the control board wasnt activating the blower motor and I just got that replaced. Heat is back up and running!There are so many other repair places that would try to upsell you either a new blower unit or furnace, etc, but Clear Choice is not one of them. Truly one of the good guys in the field. Highly recommended!

John did a great job fixing our AC unit in prompt and timely manner. He was responsive when other businesses were not, and was able to accommodate us when we needed it! Let me start by saying ClearChoice is the only choice. This review has been long overdue. I had an issue with my AC back in February and found John via Yelp. The reason I selected him is because he’s local and I was hoping to get the same day service. Needless to say that, John stopped by on his way home and diagnosed the problem. He gave me his honest opinion and told me the pros and cons with different options. Alternatively he suggested me to look up used parts online because it’s more cost effective given the age of the unit. I found the part and installed myself and it works just like he said. When I reached back out to him and asked how much do I owe him for his time and visits (He came to my house three different times and spent more than 2 hours total between the three visits) and he said nothing because he didn’t do the work. I couldn’t done this without his expert knowledge and information but yet he didn’t want to charge me anything because he didn’t physically fixed it. I have my AC guy for life and his name is John. Thank you John for setting a great example and let me know that not all contractors or repairmen are all about money. I truly appreciate you!

San Dimas and surrounding areas are truly blessed to have such a great HVAC company. They came to my house for diagnostics the same day I made the request over the phone and correctly identified the problems that have been making the AC not working as well as it should be.Then admittedly there was a bit of frustration in regards to getting an estimate and scheduling the actual repair, but that was due to the fact that I happened to reach out to them during a time when high caseload met technical glitches. But once I received the estimate and had the repair scheduled, everything was a blast.The professionalism is very impressive. The technician meticulously documented every meter that demonstrated improvement, so you not only feel it but get to compare the numbers before/after. Now that the AC is releasing its full potential, I feel like Ive risen from the dead, no longer bogged down by the brutal heatwave of the Southern California summer.Thank you for the excellent service!

Their customer scheduling service is great! and free consultation for the month of November was an awesome touch.Unfortunately a $600 for a new thermostat install and C-wire is beyond reason. I held back literal laughs when the man gave me the quote and reasoning behind the quote. He probably thought I was some young guy that he could quickly take advantage of. Or probably thought I wouldnt come to Yelp or Google to warn others.According to the fair labor market for this particular job and based on various other quotes from local service vendors, this job should have run me around $325. So $600 is a slap in the face for me.I would hesitate for this to be the Clear Choice for my needs.
